I believe samardja only has one more year on his deal, so well have to give him big money if we land him. I don't see any way we could afford him and tanaka

He was 8-13 with a 4.34 ERA in 2013!
He was 9-13 with a 3.81 ERA in 2012!

He gave up 367 hits in 388.1 innings during that span!

Sure, he strikes out a lot of players (averaging more than one per inning), but is that what makes him an "Ace"? Because the rest of his stats sure suck for a #1 guy!

I've said it 100x already... He is SOOOOOO NOT an ace. I'm not even sure he would produce better than Corbin, Miley, Skaggs or even Delgado! He throws hard and will strikeout a bunch... so somehow that qualifies him for ace status... :bang:

I've said it before, ARZ should stay away from Samardizja. I would rather them rekindle talks with MIL for Gallardo but only if they can get him without giving up Bradley or Skaggs.

I hope ARZ really considers trading Cahill & McCarthy on the cheap if necessary (but no giving up prospects in any deal) and just going with Corbin, Bradley, Skaggs, Miley & Delgado.
