Bibby got smart and left McCarthy in. Lesson learned. Now, our BP is well rested and ready to not blow anymore leads :D

It helped that Brandon spoke up after the game against Philadelphia where he went 8 innings and Gibson took him out.

What do you do with Kubel then?
With Parra leading the league in hits and constantly on fire at the plate, able to play LF, CF and RF, AJ Pollock (batting .242, following a .247 last season) will be the 4th outfielder.

If Kubel's injury weren't recurring, I believe the D'backs would be looking to trade him at this point, if they are not doing so already. As a starter, Parra certainly fulfills the team's batting approach this year better than Kubel.

I just hope that Gerardo can remain as effective lower in the batting order when Eaton returns to leadoff, where he is perfect for the role. Even if he slips a little, Parra's versatility and tremendous outfield play would justify him continuing to play full-time.

They get paid the same either way, as long as we win, who cares?

I don't but with today's athletes, many think I before team and the more they play, the more likely they get bonuses that are agreed to in their contracts.

From Steve Gilbert on MLB.com: "According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Parra is the first player to homer on the first pitch of a nine-inning 1-0 win since Pete Rose did it for the 1963 Reds."

Or any extra-inning 1-0 win since 1963. :D

I hate to complain about missed calls but this is really getting bad.

Cody Ross didn't get hit on the elbow but the ump said he did. Another blown call... But at least this one was in our favor!

It was nice to see Miggy draw a walk against the lefty pitcher instead of being the final out in the 9th and Gibby showing confidence in him. It will be beneficial in the long run, too.

I sure hope you're right, but..... we'll see..... we'll see.....

We're still in sole possession of 1st place NL West.
