Why in the hell is Rauch pitching? Melvin is an idiot. Cruz should be in there!

I seriously can't believe Melvin puts Rauch in. He is constantly struggling to get outs and consistently blows games for us. Unbelievable.

Okay Melvin has to be fired asap put Rauch in who sucks lets two on base than you finally put cruz in who gets a clutch out but of course to little to late, and the dbacks are going to lose a freaking series to the giants :(. This team has lost all hope our relieve pitching is the worst in baseball can never get the job done PATHATIC

This loss is once again on Melvin! How freakin' dumb can you be to put Rauch out there in the 9th. The guy has absolutely been horrific. Cruz should of been starting the 9th.

At least football season has just gotten started, and the NBA is on its way.

Cruz should of been starting the 9th.
Fair enough, but assuming that Cruz pitched a scoreless 9th instead of Rauch (probably the move I would have made, not that I'm deluded enough to think I'd actually be a decent manager), who pitches the 10th for you? Lyon, Rauch, Ledezma? There's a lot of low cards in that hand. Having just one or two guys tops in the bullpen capable of putting together a decent inning right now makes it pretty difficult to win a game late and close.

Anyone who has been watching the games the past month knows that Rauch has been getting lit up. Anyone in there but Rauch. They even mentioned after the game that they were surprised Rauch was pitching and that he probably lost his job to Cruz.

Only an idiot couldn't see that Rauch has been horrible and should not be pitching in that situation.

Here is what Rauch had to say after the game. Talk about someone who has lost confidence.

"I keep making mistakes left and right and it keeps putting this team farther and farther out of playoff contention," Rauch said. "I really just don't know what to do right now."

I see that a decent outing by Davis went right in the crapper, once again . When I turned the game on and it was 2-2, so I had the pleasure of watching Rauch pitch, en route to another loss. Why he didn't go with Cruz to start the ninth is beyo- oh, wait, it's the Mad Scientist. Another thought, when was Lyon's last game? He'll be real effective next time he pitches  .
I liked Snyder's comments: "It was a tough one to lose," Snyder said. "We've got Danny [Haren] going [Wednesday] and we've just got to get back to scratching and clawing to get back in it. It's not over. The season is not over. There's still plenty of baseball left to be played. We've got to keep reinforcing that. We're not giving in, we've just got to keep battling. Something big will happen. Something will get going and the energy, the morale, everything will pick up in this clubhouse and that's when we'll take off."
:koolaid:? Maybe. Snyder, who was a triple away from hitting for the cycle, is probably the last player I would accuse of tanking. Sure, they could follow his hopeful prediction, but time is running out at light speed and it doesn't seem the other 30 on the team share Snyder's optimism.

The manager has lost the team, which goes without saying. :bang:
