I mentioned in the other thread that I would like to see the Warriors land that #8 playoff seed. They seem like the only team (coach) that has Dallas consistently figured out. This will make twice this season.

I meant dallas has beat phoenix 4X in a row.....so i think dallas can handle the pace. unless of corse gs is just that much better than phoenix.

for whatever reason g.s. has given dallas fits. dallas has given up a lot of points to them. that richardson guy has played like mj in a few of those games. this was expected to be a tough one.....but dallas got dropped.

what's wrong with that. I don't post on a mavs board. I post on a texas football board that has a b-ball thread that no one posts on other than myself and another spurs fan. I'm not here to be an enemy.........but if i'm seen that way that's fine by me.

If I were D'Antoni, I would be picking apart all the GS/ Mavs game film tape this season to see what GS is doing. I'm sure Don Nelson may be of some help. He probably knows something about the Mavs that we don't. Obviously Nelson should know the Mavs weaknesses better than any other outsider having been a coach there.

I understand. I won't back away from this thread because there is no way around it. the mavs got hammered. If i can post about the good things....i gotta eat the crow too.

Your more the exception then the rule. I got no beef with you brother. You actually seem to be a little bit more objective then most of the trolls that post here. It's all good.

I don't know what really happened because i don't have nbalp. But the other games i've watched against g.s........they've just shot an extremely high percentage every time. they've hit a lot of their outside shots behind the arc and they've done a good job getting in the paint. In the other games the mavs scored enough points to win.....but they couldn't get stops. I know one game last year dirk scored 50 and the mavs still lost. richardson hit a spinning 3 pointer at the buzzer from like 30 feet to win the game.
phoenix had a game like that in game 4 of the WC finals last year......and i think one in phoenix at the end of the year. I hope the mavs can play g.s. in the playoffs though and get it together once and for all. I'm starting to dislike that team.

Everyone needed to play more physical D like they have with other teams because GS just penetrated at will. Not to mention the several freak shots they always make against us for whatever reason.

I really don't think they will make the eighth seed because they just aren't playoff caliber, we just play poorly against them (might have something to do with Nellie) and that's alright as long as we beat the teams we need to when it matters I can live with a crappy team beating us four times in a row if we beat the elite teams four times in a row.

On the plus side it kind of makes the Phoenix game even more crucial, it's definitely going to be a battle now! Time to start another win streak!

I expect phoenix to beat dallas this go around.....maybe the next as well. If the two teams are as equal as i think they are that wouldn't surprise me one bit. when dallas has struggled this season...it has lasted for more than one game typically. sometimes it doesn't show because they've won anyway.

Except for seeding, a loss is a loss wether it is against an average team or an elite team. In the playoffs the odometer starts at zero. I'm not going to try to read much into the next Suns/ Mavs game... win or lose.
