Dallas Morning News columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor (registration required): " So look for the Cowboys to try and strike a deal with former Arizona Cardinals tackle and UT product Leonard Davis, who's probably the third-best tackle in the free-agent market, which means he can be had for a reasonable cost. If the Cowboys can re-sign Marc Colombo, then Dallas would probably have a pretty solid offensive line without having spent a lot of money."

Does that mean that Pashos or Columbo is rated better .. ??

I'm guessing Stinchcomb and Colubo, since Stinchcomb is the best and Pashos is a "under the radar guy"

I'm just wondering how many people actually put much creedence to one opinion from some Dallas news hack.

It this simply another example of once something appears in print, it gives it credibility by some?

Personally, I don't think this opinion is worth 2 cents.

I don't think you can get any Free Agent this year at a reasonable cost.

We'll know by this weekend.

TheHuddleReport.com also has Davis rated as the third-best OT in free agency. They have Jon Stinchcomb and Tony Pashos ahead of him.

I'm all for signing Stinchcomb. If Davis doesn't come back he should be the Cardinals top FA target. I don't want to go into the draft "Needing" an OT and forcing us to reach on a player.

Funny thing how things work out...

When we traded out of getting Suggs or Leftwich, for two #1 pics, we also traded 2nd rd picks with the Saints. We had a top 10 pick in rd 2 but after the trade, we selected late in rd 2.

Our pick in rd 2 - Anquan Boldin
The Saints pick in rd 2 - Jon Stinchomb

Q has proven to be worth the pick!

The really scary part is that we got the better end of the first round trade as well. We got Pace and BJ and they got Sullivan, who is already out of football.

Could not agree more with you.

Signing Stinchcomb and maybe Colombo would take the worst pressure of the draft. We would not have to cry when Lions pick Thomas, we would not have to kick the television when some low number pick Joe Staley.

We could just sit relaxed and wait for a player like Ugoh, as we had filled out biggest need with decent players and were free to concentrate on other needs.

I was thinking the same thing.

However if they sign Big and move him to guard then we will have nightmares of Frank Gore running all over us.

Yeah, we'd be so much better off if they signed Big, keeped him at LT and combined him with Larry Allen on their left side.
