Arrgggh....I swore not to buy them after that debacle on Thursday.
Cheese nailed it.
Can't believe it almost slipped my mind today. But, paid at 11:50pm!

debacle or no debacle, as the former "ringleader of the darkside" I find it completely 100% baffling that anyone would be upset over having to buy Cardinals playoff tickets. people must have REALLY short memories.
it was only 5 years ago that I could literally take my last unemployment check (which was all the money I had in the world) and not only lay all of it against the Cardinals giving 15, but I was able to convince my roomates to do the same thing. I mean think about that. I had no job, no money coming in after that check and the Cards were facing a two TD spread and I still bet everything I had against them because they were OS AWFUL. They ended up losing that game 50-14 and our backup QB tried to throw a screen pass to our LT in our own endzone which ended up being called a safety.
I understand being upset about the Eagles loss... but being upset that you actually bought playoff tickets? We're talking about the Cardinals. To quote Jim Mora: Playoffs?! PLAYOFFS!?
Even when Cheese was leading the Darksiders, I always knew deep down he was a lot closer to being right than I wanted him to be.
Right now, we need to build some momentum for the playoffs.
I think we beat the rams and the vikings. The HUGE test comes against the Pats. I hope we win it.
Seahawks game to close the season will be tough, but it might be a big momentum game for us regardless of the Pats game. We MUST win that game, IMO.
agree. The Pats game and the playoffs really will give me the best picture of what this team needs to do re: the QB/cap situation.
I doubt the Pats game will mean anything for us. Not sure if we will even have any of the starters in at all.
why? it's not like we will have clinched the 1 seed and have no areas to try and improve on as the playoffs get closer. the only way the Pats game is meaningless is if we lose to the Vikings, otherwise we'll still be battling for the 3 seed and hopefully avoiding our worst matchup in the playoffs (the Giants) as long as possible.
I mean, I can see us resting the starters in the second half of the last game against Seattle once playoff seeding is established, but resting a team that's never even been to the playoffs for two full games prior to it? that's just not how it's done for up and coming NFL playoff teams, especially ones who need to continue to improve.
If we win this week and beat the Vikings, the only way we don't get the 3 seed over the Vikings is if they win all 3 other games and we lose to the Seahawks and Pats. If we lose to the Vikings we are in the same way pretty much locked in the 4th seed. The Pats game will have no impact on our seeding unless we decide to give the Seahawks or Rams a free win.
if both us and the Vikings win this week, we'll go into next week's game with same record. Assuming we win, that puts the Vikings a game back us (two with the tie-breaker). Thus I don't see why we would start conceding games up two with two left.
and even if we LOSE to the Vikings and we're sitting at 8-6 and they're 9-5, they're staring at the Falcons and Giants ahead of them so it's not inconcievable that they could lose both games and we could still end up with the 3 if we won both of ours.
and even if that wasn't the case, do we really want to make the same mistake Tampa did where they an okay playoff team playing in a horrible division, which allowed them to start "resting" players only to come out completely flat in their first game en route to a home field ass-kicking?
I just don't see us being 9-5 and sitting almost all the starters with two games left in the season. I don't know of any team that would really do that, especially one with as little playoff experience as we have and as many areas that still need work to improve.
