I want to voice my displeasure that they did not get tmac. This was their chance to make a big splash, and they managed to botch it up. Now, we missed the boat on Tmac, we missed the boat on Kobe, we got NOTHIN after 6 months of anticipation! We have to come to grips that this whole thing since the december trade as this big cost cutting charade. bastardos! I can't believe they played us so bad.

so basically we traded marbury and got lampe and eisley, or worse with okur or old-ass nash??? wtf is that? i'll tell you what we got, we got fatcat owners who pawned off talent for a couple extra bucks! just call him jerry Bidwill! we as fans got screwed, this is BS

I'M OUT!

we got NOTHIN... I'M OUT!
Dude... It’s June 21st. The expansion draft is tomorrow, the rookie draft is on Thursday, and the free agency period begins a week after that. The offseason hasn’t even started yet, and you’re already giving up because we’ve seen “NOTHIN” yet?

we got fatcat owners who pawned off talent for a couple extra bucks!
We got fatcat owners who haven’t pawned off any talent whatsoever, because they just bought the damn team.

As for the Marbury trade made by the previous ownership, it wasn’t a couple of bucks. It was $125 million.

I fail to see how the Suns got screwed. Last I heard the Suns were offer Marion+pick+Jacobsen+rights to Vujanic, and that is the most I'd be willing to part with for McGrady. If the Magic demanded Amare and Marion or Marion+JJ+pick as has been reported then I for one am glad the deal didn't get done since both those are too much for T-Mac(the Amare one seems laughable). Its not the Suns fault if the Magic value Cato+Francis+Mobley more than what the Suns were offering(I'm pretty sure most GMs would take the Suns deal and know there are plenty of Magic fans who prefer it).

Also criticizing Suns for not getting Kobe and throwing money at Nash and Okur seems pretty funny since the FA period hasn't started yet and you don't know what will happen.

sorry i dont feel that tmac or kobe would have give this team a shot at a championship. so to feel that all hope is gone now that those to players are off the markets isnt fair to yourself or this team.

also correct me if i am wrong here but didnt the two biggest "names" in basketball (shaq and kobe) just get their ass handed to them by a team of no names?

"names" dont win championships, teams win championships.

Besides, until Kobe Bryant re-signs with the LA Lakers I still think there's a possibility he could come here. It's looking more unlikely, but it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities. Even if he doesn't come here there are other free agents, possible trades, draft picks, etc. Anything can happen. This is the NBA.

The only excuse for not going after TMac would be that they are very confident they will get Kobe.

But that just seems like a longshot unless there are more reasons other than Shaq that he wants to leave LA.

And I am really hoping for Ben Gordon at #7. He is a great athlete and shooter and a gym rat with the court demeanor of Kobe.

I was hoping for Gordon as well, but his cancellation today seems to indicate he will be gone before #7.
