Saw this over the weekend. I liked it as did my wife.

I enjoyed the flick as well.

I had different expectations because Carell and Cook were both in it. I was maybe looking for some that Sunshine comedy/touching family moments.

Instead we got movie about "real life".

Cook was solid. Carell as always was good. I hate Binoche. I hate Weist.

can someone who's seen the movie tell me why his head is resting on a bed of pancakes? does that have anything to do with the movie whatsoever?
They are all sitting around the table talking and someone asks Marie what she can cook. Pancakes.

It was fun. I watched it with the wife and of course we figured out immediately that the woman in the bookstore is his brothers girlfriend, but other than that it was fun.

I was cringing at times watching it considering my wife is 8 months pregnant with a girl and the way his daughters acted scared me to the bone.

Haven't seen it, but I do have 3 girls. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Recently watched it. Decent movie, worth watching once.

That was quite a family. Hide and seek, morning calisthenics, football, boating, and a talent show.

This is one of those movies you'll forget about, and then be fine watching it on TBS on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

2 hours I'll never get back.... predictable, boring, formula, maudlin, very hate-able children.... all the necessary ingredients for a loser. Sure... 2 or 3 mild yuks, but beyond that, yech!

Basically crap. 2 out of 5 stars.

May be a scary thing to all others. But our movie tastes seem to be mirror images.

Couldnt sleep tonight ,so I decided to watch this. I was expecting me to view Steve as Michael from The Office, but surprisingly, I didn't. I thought Steve did a very good job.

Overall it was alright. Movie was definitely predictable, and I wanted to punch the middle girl in the face a million times over. I remember being 14 or whatever, but damn that was a bit much.

So, overall, I give it a C+/B-.

fairly enjoyable movie - i liked the character of dan and some of the family dynamics - a couple of scenes were pretty funny in a "cute" kind of way, but nothing that is out and out hilarious

the middle daughter was annoying - but served her point as the vehicle for young, passionate, vocal love .......... pretty much the opposite of her dad

some of the family scenes were way too much - the dinner conversation went on way too long, morning aerobics - really?, talent show?

a very predicatable movie, all the way down to pig face and the eventual connection ............. however, enjoyable as well

I didn't hate this movie. I echo what people say about the family. If I was at the cabin, I would have had to start a boycott of all the activities just to express some individuality.

Dane Cook was okay, but Carell was way better. Thank goodness they kept Cook reigned in for the most part.

What the heck was Juliette Brioche doing in this movie? Just because a person in french doesn't mean they can act. She cant.

We fastforwarded through a few parts.

You mean the Mullies don't perform morning calisthenics during family get-togethers?
