That is the ONE problem with Dansby is that he refuses to admit the obvious and tries to front as if it's not.
Pete KendallThe only free agent I ever remember flat out saying it was all about the money was that OG we signed in the late 90s early 00s.
Can't remember his name. He was a decent starter for a few years.
Hey Dansby,
The browns suck. Seeya in January....or wait...no we wont.
Why wouldn't we see him in January? Phoenix is a great vacation spot that time of year and since he will be living in sub freezing weather for most of the season, Phoenix will be a great choice.
nothing?Let's not forget what happened the last time he chased the $$.
nothing?
to be fair, not much happened with the Cardinals the last time he left.
circumstances are different in him leaving this time, but the offers were so substantially different, that I don't begrudge what Los did this time. when someone offers to double your salary and it's likely the last big check you're gonna get, that's got to be a really tough offer to turn down, no matter how much you've made in the past.
I thought this was funny as well. On a team with A-Roid, Teixeira, Sabathia, Beltran, Soriano, Suzuki, McCann...and that's just from this year's roster, all of whom signed with the Yankees for the money, and yet Cano is the sell out.Slightly off topic but still related. I have to laugh at the irony of the Yankee fans jeering Robinson Cano for "selling out" and chasing the money.
