Let's not be naive and talk about "tampering." We know damn well that every single year a dozen guys sign in the first 3 hours of free agency...as if their agents worked out all the details of those complicated, lengthy contracts in just a few minutes.

As I recall (i've had a couple of cold ones
) his take is that it happens, and so what. Everyone does it, and not only in the NFL, but in every aspect of life. We all have, he says. Or we know a friend who has done it. Including himself (Cowherd).
In his case, he said, if I know my work contract is up in 6 months, you better believe that I will be talking to other employers about where I will be in 6 months.
