Good move, wonder what the salary is and why only one year. Thought he wanted multiple years.

Interesting. One year deal was supposedly not what he was looking for? Sounds like the supposed 5 to 6 other teams interested stuff we were hearing was just his agent pumping him up in the media.

Good deal.

By signing Karlos Dansby its a huge upgrade at inside linebacker should be the starter over Brinkley or Minter, can also play on the outside

#azcardinals were about $8.5m under cap before Dansby. Post June 1, $3m of Adam Snyder's cap figure comes off.

Good deal.

I think he realized that he could lead a stong defense in AZ and gaet paid next year or he could lead a weak defense in Buffalo and risk getting paid next year. The other teams may not have given him the ability to start.

hmmm....

Practically nobody could say anything good about Dansby from the day he rejected the Cards last offer to him and now it's "great" and "good" to have him back?

Good to have him back. Fans like him, me included, and he knows a little bit about Todd Bowles system.

I hold nothing against him for going to Miami and hold nothing against the Cardinals for not signing him to the type of ridiculous contract he received by Miami.

Like Calvin Pace before him, he was paid way too much by another team. They were/are good player but not THAT good.

Anyway, good signing. If/when Washington comes back, to have Washington and Dansby as your nickel LB is a luxiary most teams don't have.

Congrats to Keim for landing the best linebacker in the NFL :D

Great signing. Makes too much sense for both sides. We need D-Wash insurance and Dansby plays in a familiar place with a familiar coordinator.

I gotta tell you, this move more then any other has completely sold me on the fact that this ain't the SOC. Not only did the team let bygones be bygones, but they went out and made SURE they were covered in the event that something really bad goes down with Washington. This was an incredibly proactive move.

Love the signing. Los was my favorite Cardinal since he was drafted and glad he's back in the fold, with or without Washington...but man, if Washington does only get 4 games, we've got two very very good linebackers to play with.

Please disregard all the nonsense I posted about Dansby since he left.

This... Rhodes must have burned some bridges last year. I understand the cap savings part but he would come at a much cheaper rate now. FS imo is our biggest need.

Wow!

That is all that I can say right now. I'm stunned that the Cardinals were able to pull this off. What a great way to start off the weekend!

this is exactly how I feel about the entire situation. I didn't want Dansby to leave but I understood. Very excited for this year. We have an entirely different team.

When he left, he did so by signing the richest contract ever given to a linebacker... How can anyone fault him for that??
This is a very, very good move by the Cards and is 'Los comes to play and prove he's still got the goods, it can turn out to be a great move by the team!

Dansby is great fill in for Washington during suspension, but also further implies more 4-3 w WLB Washington & MLB Minter [/QUOTE]

This is a very good point.

Do Whiz and Graves get this done? Would Dansby play for them?

Doubtful. As I indicated before, IMO, one of the features of this signing for Dansby was playing for his former coordinator. With Graves/Whiz here, Bowles wouldn't be here. Plus, I'm sure someone would have had to wake Graes up from his afternoon nap to get this deal done.
