Believe what you want to believe, but I don't like the way that people have been extremely rude in this thread. There's really no reason for it. This guy didn't post anything malicious. Even after there some rude responses to his original post his responses were not rude.

How many of you saw the segment on the news about a week ago where they talked to Mike D and his family at home? I'm 99% sure they mentioned in that segment that key helps coach his son's basketball team. This sounds almost certainly got back from Dallas late Sunday night. They had yesterday off from practice, so is it really that far out of the realm of possibilities that he would take a couple hours to get away from things and help with his son's basketball team?

I'm not saying any of this happened, but it's not that far-fetched. There's certainly no reason for the rudeness.

seriously - do you guys remember when everyone BLASTED some guy who came on here with the times of the first two playoff games, calling him names and what not... and THEN HE WAS RIGHT! I do remember that, but I think "BLASTED" is a bit of an overstatement. I wrote that it seemed strange that such information would be "leaked," but I didn't call anyone any names.

In any event, what that person was reporting was not intrinsically absurd. Not to disregard Joe Mama's appeals for politeness, but I find the idea that D'Antoni would make disparaging remarks about Marion to a virtual stranger on the eve of the most important game of the season to be simply not credible. It has nothing to do with who posted it or whose friend it is.

It also has nothing to do with what I "want" to believe. I've never met either D'Antoni or Marion and don't really care what their relationship is like.

At practice Monday, Mike told my friend's mom that the Suns are just dead tired. Mike also had some choice words about Marion. He said that a guy who makes $15 million a year should be able to get over not being named to the defensive first-team even if he did deserve it. Apparently Marion has been super pissed about being snubbed and D'Antoni thinks his play is suffering because of it. That's the news from the D'Antoni camp.

yes, and in re-quoting you also point out the misinformation that people have been arguing. there is no mention that the friend's mom is a stranger to dantoni. for all we know they could be related (that's just as far-fetched as it being a total stranger). if it's a friend or acquaintance then it's entirely possible that coach d might have made these comments. and the comments were summarized, they might have been embellished, but that wouldn't change the overall message, if true.

Wow - speaking generically, with no one person in mind, some people here (on both sides of the aisle) seem to take almost every single thing that's said as a direct personal affront requiring a personal retaliation.
