The reason I liked Season 2 better (and this is splitting hairs really because I loved season 1 too) is because I didn't really care for the way Kingpin was portrayed then (my only complaint). The Season 2 Kingpin is much closer to the way the comic book character is than he was in 1...maybe it is character progression or his arc but he seemed mentally weak to start out and that is way out of character for what was established in the comics.
I do have one complaint about season 2, it seems like Foggy brings down every scene, not the actor but how the character is written. He is just "Debbie Downer".
I got a different read on Foggy. I think his character developed more depth this season in response to Matt's gross disregard for everyone around him and terrible decision making. Not that I didn't love Matt's poor choices, because it brought plenty of tension to the show.
I have to say I 100 percent disagree about Kingpin.
That was my only nitpick as well. I thought his portrayal in Season 1 was very one dimensional. It's why I didn't like him as well as Killgrave on Jessica Jones which I found creepy as hell. Love this version of FISK much better.
I just finished. I wish there was ore Fisk and more Claire though. However, with adding The Punisher and Elektra there was just no room. I wish the season was a few more episodes longer. I love but hate binge watching. Love watching it straight through but then it sucks because in an instant.....another year before new episodes. LOL.
Wow, yeah, I have a vastly different take on Fisk than you two. I like Daredevil more than Jessica Jones overall (though it's a pick-em) because Fisk was so brilliantly done last season, and because the portrayal, in both the writing and acting, was so multi-faceted. I mean, he's up there with Loki as far as Marvel villains for me.
But hey, we each have our opinion and, as you outnumber me 2-1, mine clearly wins
