Most of this play is against Embiid. Notice his offense and defense against the all-NBA center. Dario gives up 40-50 pounds to Embiid. Smart player, Dario.

As much as I liked the Suns off season, a significant piece would be missing if they had not been able to re-sign Dario Saric

He was so good with the Suns second unit in the Orlando bubble.

This is not to say Saric is not capable of starting depending upon match ups. The same with Frank Kaminsky.

Also I want to mention the trade down with Minnesota to draft Cam Johnson is looking very good because of the inclusion of Dario Saric in the trade.

James Jones deserves an A for how he handled the 2019 draft. Adding Dario and Cam with the #7 pick was great. Getting 2 solid rotation pieces with 1 mid lottery pick is something no one expected ahead of time. Glad he resigned Dario on a team friendly deal also. Moves like that are rarely pulled off by rookie GM's.

especially in a draft class that was looked at as very suspect beforehand.

who have been the standouts since from that class? That was the Morant/Zion draft, right?

Yeah. It’s a fairly nondescript draft so far. In a redraft I saw cam at 12 which is a spot lower than he was taken. The guys ahead of him PJ, Clarke, hachimura, all kinda feel like different versions of each other. Solid rotation forwards who have different games but likely no studs. Herro was in that draft too.

I thought he'd go higher in a re-draft, but at least he's not seen as the giant reach he was on draft night. Damn solid pick by Jones imo.

Agreed on all points. All the guys they listed before him were valid-to-in-same-range. Could argue but it would be splitting hairs.
