I am sorry I thought MO had 7 picks in the first 90 picks and that he was a deal genius. I remember a Cards flight plan hailing the dude for masterful trades that would bring the Cards success.

You better believe I blame him for bringing in a draft pick that hasn’t played a single down since being drafted that we traded for.

I hope the guy works out but this is borderline ridiculous.
does monti go and kick robinson in the calf each week or something? you can't predict injuries - nor healing times - everybody loved what robinson showed in preseason - me thinks your hyperbole is showing

I have no idea there has been zero information on how all this has happened.

Again the local media not doing their job and being puppy dogs. That is part of my problem. Dude got hurt sometime in training camp came back for a day and is now probably going on IR for the season.

They can't put him back on IR without him being out for the year. They had no choice to open up his window.
I know. I'm just tired of the truly sad "will he, won't he" reporting when we already KNOW he won't be playing. Just IR him for the year or stop the sad reporting until he is actually going to play.

I have to wonder if his injury was truly a “calf strain”. I wouldn’t think it takes 6+ weeks to right itself. Now, if it’s a high ankle sprain, many guys have missed 6 weeks. However, I’m not a doctor.
All strains are tears and have 3 levels of severities. Based on short term IR, I figured it was a level 2.

A grade 2 calf strain typically takes 3 to 6 weeks to heal and return to full activity. However, it can take up to 8 weeks with proper rehabilitation.

He was carted off the field for imaging when it happened. We were worried it was going to be season ending by the way it was described. Calves and hamstring injuries are no joke.

When it occurred, I said six weeks at least, having suffered the same playing hockey. It's a tear, and after healing comes rehab and building strength. One overexertion, and you can find yourself starting over.

If they did that people would be complaining about no news on him. Is what it is. I don’t care until he returns.

I remember your comments at the time.

In fact, the only comment that stuck in my head:)

this is more of an indictment of the lack of information coming from Cardinals front office/Local media.

As a fan it would be nice to know if he has a freaking chance to play this season or not. We could really use him.

I wonder if Robinson's return and J. Williams' return are more likely now we're 4-4, with something to play for, versus 3-5 or 2-6.

I mean, are they, personally, more motivated to give it a go with the season still hanging in the balance?

Or, as pro athletes, is their motivation already a 10 out of 10 to get back on the field?

I did notice D Ron on sideline watching game yesterday. Don't think he would have traveled, if he was still doing rehab

They have to activate Robinson from IR in the next 2 days or he's done for the year. They opened his 21 day practice window on the 9th.

Of course he will play this season. Otherwise they wouldn't have designated him for return 3 weeks ago. Clearly they are bringing him along slowly and want to make sure that he is good to go so that he doesn't reaggravate the injury.

I hope he comes back, makes a difference on the DL & Monti makes a move for an edge rusher. Yesterday showed what our offense can be, now if we can somehow get a few difference makers on our DL, then I like our chances to win the West.
