There are several top rated CBs who could be on the board at 13.Same can said for D-Line.I think Cards can get a good player at either spot.Campbell leaves a big hole which Nmedichke (SP) or Gunter or top pick can try to fill
Let's say for the sake of argument, that if SK drafts smartly, we should draft starters with our first three picks, but will be fortunate if we land one more diamond in the rough on Day 3.

That makes 4 rookies to plug holes at CB, SS, TE, RG plus we'll want to replace CC and draft our QBOF.

That's 4 guys plugging 6 holes. And that doesn't even include bringing in any more quality backup depth to provide "injury insurance."

I'm not saying we can't get lucky, but realistically, we're going to come up at least a couple of guys short if we rely solely on the draft. We'll still need to acquire at least one starter with most of our remaing cap surplus and/or count on Toner and/or Nkemdiche (& maybe one or two surprise youngsters) to grow into starting or quality backup, roles.

Verdict: This upcoming season won't be for the faint of heart.

I'm not saying change the playbook Mikey. But if you think the Cards didn't adjust that offense slightly & or cement Palmer to throw shorter the 2nd half of 2016 we both were watching different games.

It happened & I'm saying to stick with it. BA has even said during the combine that his job is to protect Palmer more from the beating he took during the 2016 season.

That I can agree with, you said BA had learned a lesson. My point is CP has options all over the field, he is the one that chooses to chuck it deep not BA. CP needs the lesson here IMO.

Darren Fells = Connor Jackson. He has never hit his full potential and there is no point in sitting around waiting for it to happen at his current age.

The starting TE, Gresham, is returning so the Cards only need a depth TE.

Like it or not, the plan seems to be for existing depth and Nkemdiche to replace Campbell.

It would be great for the Cards to pick up a QBOF in the draft, but many think that there's no suitable candidate or that the Cards should or will wait until next year to try to replace Palmer.

There's still time and a little money to address other positions with free agents.

So i wouldn't say there are more holes than the team is capable of plugging in the offseason. But i agree, Keim will need to draft and sign wisely to keep the Super Bowl window slightly open. Most of all, this relatively old team will need to stay healthy. Fingers crossed....
