CAN you cut a suspended player? I'd think there'd be something in the CBA about that.

YepBut you can't put CAP BS aside because cutting DWashout before this season was a BIG hit to the CAP. It's simply smart business.
Odds are he won't be reinstated anyway. The sooner the Cardinals can cut ties with him, the better.
Alternative fake news?Alternate factsFake news no doubt.
Correct, but in this instance all of his guaranteed money is "paid" or no longer part of the cap (a signing bonus in this instance, right?), which is why he'll be cut. All of that guaranteed money would have been accelerated against the cap the year he was cut prior to this year.Yes, from what I gather, but you fast forward the CAP implications.

The above situation is the only situation that I would be pissed. Cap BS aside, if they thought what he did was bad enough and wanted to cut him, then they should have done it long ago on pure principle. If they wait 3-4 years for him to be reinstated and then cut him, that's ridiculous. They had no problem cutting ties with M Floyd, Dwyer, etc...
At this point, if he gets reinstated, they might as well try getting some production out of him.
That was my 1st thought as well... hasn't played football since 2013 & wasn't willing to do what he needed to get re-instated. The only thing that would probably change that now is if he needs the money. How much you wanna bet he's just out of money that's why he's suddenly reappeared so eager to wipe the slate clean
