A very early poll to ask what the Cardinals should do about ILB Daryl Washington and his $10-million roster bonus due next March.

You pay him. The D didn't truly takeoff until he came back.

why would you not pay him? Maybe if you said "if dwash will be suspended 8 games next year" or something. For now I assuming we will have him back full time and hell yes you pay the man.

The Cards paid Dockett a $5 million roster bonus. They paid Kolb $7 million. They paid Campbell a $10 million bonus this year. They paid Fitz $14 million in roster bonuses 2011 and 2012.

And here we are at 8-5 still with a slim chance at the playoffs and a decent chance at a 10 win season and DD, CC and Larry key players for the Cards. So it doesn't look like paying those bonuses handicapped the team much at all.

So pay DWAsh.

Agree. Let's keep our core players together. BA has us on the right track.

Pay the man, but also pay Dansby. He is insurance and I also think he can mentor Washington to be a professional. Dansby understand the business side of things and knows you have to be a constant professional to get paid and he needs to play side by side with him for a couple of more season to ensure Washington does not get in trouble again.

Also, no public poll, BOOOOOO

extend his contract and renegotiate the bonus down to about seven mil...with another in a few years...encourage the man to take better care of his off the field life.....

it aint my money either way...but DWash is a pretty high risk right now...so show him that you want to keep him, but also that you are a bit concerned about his future availability to be on the field...and leverage that into a five year extension.

Kevin Minter and Jasper Brinkley instead of Dansby and Washington. That's a scary thought.

You are banned for the next 37 minutes for even uttering that sentence. :banned: :ban:

:D

Even worse, Antoin Cason and Javier Arenas at CB, so it could always be worse.

Scary yes, but that is Same Ol' Cardinal Football right there.

That was the reality in Arizona for far too long.

D Wash has a huge upside. I don't see the need for the question, all I see is a young guy that can play. Hopefully he can hold the straight and narrow.

That is why I wanted it public. I want to confrim who the one "Let Him Walk" is.

Sorry, the default must be 'not public' because I didn't specify one way or the other.

P.S. I am not the one.

Agree on Brinkley, but Kevin Minter is still a big unknown. He might be eventually be very good, but even in best case, it will take him awhile to acquire the veteran savvy that Karlos brings to the defense.
