Yeah, not to make excuses but bad offensive line and bad weapons plagued his career. OK, bad actually doesn't begin to describe the weapons. He lead the NFL in completion percentage with Eric Moulds, a possession receiver in the twilight of his career, and Andre Johnson, a great receiver finally with enough experience to contribute. That being said, his overall array of weapons would probably be ranked 20th or so. This was his first year with both weapons, it gets uglier when you go back. At one point in 2005, his four wide receivers consisted of Jerome Mathis the special teams specialist, Jabar Gaffney the guy cut by the Eagles before the season and just now producing for the first time in his career, Derick Armstrong who's out of the NFL and playing for the Blue Bombers and Corey Bradford who's out of the NFL.
I have tremendous faith in David Carr as a starter. Minnesota is the only team looking for a starter and I think they'll get Garcia. Buffalo, Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Miami and Washington all might be looking for more production from the QB spot. I could see him in navy and orange. He has the toughness, enduring all those sacks. To leap from a guy with the accuracy of Grossman to the accuracy of Carr, that's a good trade-off. Plus, I hear Carr is a great teammate and leader. I look at Rex as kinda clueless and quiet when he brings in the huddle. They have too much money tied up in quarterbacks though.
