92 rushing and 31 receiving. I have no idea why he was out during that one stretch it nearly cost us the game.

Keep it going young fella.

He's the future, I was surprised that I was the only person wearing a David Johnson jersey at the game against Cincy.

He came up limping. Not sure how hurt he is, but we can't lose another RB.

He was getting an ice pack on his knee during that time.

He's very capable, no doubt about it..

But, his style might not conducive to a long NFL career. He takes a lot of hard hits.

Love the kid though. Great draft choice.

Yeah, he was hobbled. Saw a tweet that he was riding the bike and had a pack on one leg, came back in for that catch he made, was hobbling again after the play, waved to the sideline that he needed out.

Got 10 days until next game. Should be good to go.

good lord... it would suck if he's seriously hurt. at least we have 10 days off before the next game.

Arians said he is fine, just exhausted after 41 carries in 4 days.

Whew.

this was a tough game for sure, but with ten days off, we could head into the stretch run as healthy as we've been all season with Rucker, Ellington and the CB who's name I can't remember, back in the fold.

the D misses Rucker and Ellington as the change of pace back will be nice to get back.

Seriously, this team is frustrating at times, but how lucky are we right now?

3 games left, we are going to be as healthy as we have been almost all season. Guys have a huge break to heal and prepare.

Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better scenario. It's like we have a pre playoffs bye week to get better. I predict we're going to beat Philly and then I have absolutely no idea what to expect the last 2 games of the season. Will be a fun ride.

Even our game next Sunday is late. lol

Yeah for a rookie 41 carries in 4 days plus catches and blocking etc not surprised just the timing was awful.

I still think in hindsight Arians should have challenged the spot on that play I think we lost a full yard with them putting the ball at teh 2 after the overturned TD.

Then on the first play, Taylor got a full yard, he wasn't down he was on top of a defender and surged forward, but they gave him almost nothing. So 2 consecutive bad spots. In hindsight if we challenge the spot and win we're at the 1, Taylor probably got in on the 2nd effort we score a TD and the game is never that close.

But I assume Arians figured they spent time looking at teh replay to overturn it so they were probably pretty sure of the spot, even though it was wrong.

I really like what I'm seeing from DJ. I was skeptical, not anymore.

I think we may see Shipley carry the ball down the road. In the next to last drive (12 minutes left) where Williams was in on the 3rd and 1 Shipley was in and was the lead blocker. They ran right between guard and tackle and Shipley actually blew through a hole looking for someone to block and found no one and went right past the line. Williams was following him however whomever Larsen was blocking slide off of Larsen and filled the hole between Shipley and Williams which stopped Williams from getting the first down. The play actually took too long. Had Shipley carried the ball he would had gotten 2-3 yards easily.

I'm still not sure he could have done it from early on as people were saying but I think his first 2 starts have been terrific. There are things CJ does better but the BIG difference with DJ is he's a big threat in the pass game. If teams over commit to stopping the run he's a huge threat on a pass, CJ just wasn't, I think that's helping us move the chains.

Weird .. if he was just exhausted, why ride the bike and the ice pack on his knee?

I thought I read something from Urban stating he took a hit to the thigh and that was the reason for his absence. That would make a little more sense for the bike and ice.

one small play:

3-6 with 1.55 or so to play-- DJ catches a swing pass for 14 down to the 23 yd line...... but goes out of bounds.

Stay in bounds and Minn has to burn a TO -- and with all else equal -- Minn gets the ball back well under a minute with no timeouts left ( this assumes that facing 3-18 and the Minn out of timouts, you run the ball there to keep the clock moving).

I think he knew what he was doing. With less time on the clock, the Vikings kick the 48 yarder instead of calling another play. Heads up play by the rook! :D
