:thumbdown I have a sick feeling that the Suns are going to pick this kid.

Someone on Sports Center was saying how he could be the second coming of Nash. Comparing how many people in the league see him now and the similarities to Nash coming into the draft.

No, I think the kid will be good. Best case scenario is A.I, worst case is Juan Dixon. He demonstrated he can play point, even with the horrible team he was on. I was surprised he did so well at point considering they relied so heavily on him for scoring. I think he would benefit from playing in a couple invitational tournaments where he could showcase his pg skills with some decent talent surrounding him.

Iverson? Not even close.

no and no. redick cant put the ball on the floor. adam morrison was never a "shooter" but more of a scorer.

curry will be at the least a good roleplayer. hes got a quick shot and has HIGH basketball IQ.

I knew you'd give me flack for that. That's his best case scenario, and I know he doesn't have the athleticism of A.I. I was talking more about his scoring ability.

He can be better than Barbosa, he wouldn't be a bad pick but I am hoping for someone I like better.

Or he could be like Gilbert Arenas, I see quite some potential in him. He could be a big PG at 6'3.

Speed
Barbosa>>Curry
Areanas>Curry

Burst
Barbosa>> Curry
Arenas>> Curry

Passing ability
Curry's passing ability is on par with Barbosa and Arenas.

Scoring ability
Curry will probably good as Rip Hamilton or Rex Chapman, thats his ceiling.imo

Curry is so slow, I don't think he going to be able to get to the rim like he does in college. I'd rather trade down and pick Patrick Mills, than Curry in the lottery.

I don't feel like Curry is slow, I actually think he's deceptively quick, like Nash. I kind of feel like teams seem to pass on more polished guys for guys with "potential." Take Tayshaun Prince for example. The kid was a baller. Dropped 30+ points on UNC in the tourney, was SEC player of the year, and averaged almost 18 a game, yet slid all they way down to 23rd in the draft. Almost out of the first round entirely. Why? Because he was a 4 year polished player? It's so odd to me that teams would rather pass on a guy like him or Curry and pick some 10 ppg scorer that maybe has a 10% chance of becoming a stud.

im going to disagree with you, barbosa is the most unaware basketball player ive ever seen in my life... passing, offensive awareness and basketball IQ curry is already MILES ahead of barbs.

Hindsight is 20 20 but man the suns really whiffed by picking Casey jacobsen ahead of Prince....:bang:
Suns selected Casey with the 22nd pick.

I wanted the Suns to pick another big in that draft, namely Boozer.

Depending on players rising and dropping and some returning to school, I think it comes down to either Curry, Maynor or Calathes at 14.

Each brings something unique, Curry is the scorer who can pass, Maynor is the true PG and probably the best defender of the 3, and Calathes brings an all around game with size (6'6).

If we could get another 1st rounder we can address the frontcourt Blair or Patterson are the only real options after Thebeet, Hill & Griffin, unless they are enamored with a project like BJ Mullins.

Calathes will be lucky to get in the first round.

There will be better players available for sure.. Curry, Lawson, Flynn, Maynor etc.
