So I was wondering why Davis was pulled for pinch hitter with 2 outs, no runners on after only throwing 80 pitches. Apparently DD was too...

There was a heated converstation in the dugout and apparently Davis left the ball park pissed.

Jumping to conclusions like the good fan that I am makes me think that Hinch has no respect in that dugout. The guy has zero experience and his actions tonight sort of reinforce that. If DD is traded in the next few weeks we'll know how the organization views this guy.

I'm not liking him already, you don't let a manager learn on the job at the major league level to this degree.

Why would he have the respect of the players? He has absolutely no experience whatsoever and gets a four-year contract. Josh Byrnes is a moron for giving him that contract. He should of named Hale or Gibson as manager for the rest of the year and then decide in the offseason who the
manager should be.

This won't be the only incident between a player and Hinch. It could get real ugly.

This hire was such a bad, bad joke. I can't stand to watch this team right now. It's miserable.

The joke is Josh Byrnes. With Hinch as the manager, JB gets to control his puppet and coach from upstairs.

The move was wrong for sure. But, did we lose this game because of it? How many hits did Young & Snyder have last night?? They're now batting .179 & .206 respectively, and yet everyone continues to looks elsewhere for the "problems" with this team...
Amazing...

In Chris Young's 125 at-bats so far this season, 50.4% have been popups or fly balls; 26.4% strikeouts; and 23.2% ground balls.

That's 76% hit high in the air or strikeouts.

And Eric Byrnes is worse than he is when it comes to popups.

The D'backs hitters are the Kleenex Kids -- popup one at a time.

Is it each individual player's fault that they are trying to play American League baseball in the National League?

Or is it the fault of the GM who came from the American League and, by his own admission, is calling the shots for the Manager?

By now, we all know the answer to that.

I am not in support of the GM so don't misunderstand me... However, the GM isn't the one standing in the batters box.
At some point, if you are playing in the majors, you either step up and play like a major leaguer, or not... Snyder & Young in particular fall grossly short.
I am not suggesting that they each need to hit .300 with 30 dingers and 100 RBI's. However, can you be so biased as to believe that the GM and the Manager are the complete and sole contributors to their pathetic performance? Shouldn't they at least be able to hit closer to .250 in spite of the hex you seem to believe the GM, Melvin and now Hinch have placed on this team??

Did you have the chiles relleno at the Cavern place?

OH yea! Carlsbad Tavern! Have been back there several times (it's 10 mins from my office)! And yes - the Chiles Relleno totally rock! Actually, all of the food there is really, really good! That was a great call mullinator!

I seem to recall good burgers there as well.
Do they still have chocolate bread pudding?

They actually were just voted to have the best burger in the southwest! Can't remember the name for it, but it's infused with habeneros and other chili ingredients, topped with some jack cheese... It's incredible!

And yes, the Chocolate Bread Pudding is still there and is amazing!

I have no problem with the manager pissing off the players. Hinch did something unusual but was trying to win. We were behind at the time.

These players don't respect anybody.

Don't take this an an endorsement of Josh Byrnes. It's not. But 82 makes valid points. And how often in the past would Bob Melvin let wins slip away by staying "loyal" to his starters way too long? Lots of times.

Josh Byrnes needs to go. That's all I have to say on this matter. Also, the team needs a better mix of veteran players to match with the young guys. Lopez was a great addition, but it was more of luck then a stroke of genius. There were only so many 2b on the market.....

Boy, I'd hate to see how Davis reacts after today. Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 5th, bases loaded and one out, and Hinch goes to Rauch instead of letting Davis work out of the mess and try to get a win. Of course Rauch blows it, giving up 4. What a disaster this team is.
