I am actually underwhelmed by this draft, I think both of these players have a lot of questions and I believe their downside is as high as their upside. I like their talent but, either they are both going to be beasts or niether will be on the team 3 years from now.

I still like our chances of getting a speed back on day 2. But if we don't come away with a back, isn't Kevin Jones out there. I know he's injured right now but could provide depth. Any thoughts?

If he checks out medically it is an interesting idea that will probably not cost all that much.

DRC kind of scares me. Is he more than a track star? He could be great and he could be a huge bust. Good news is that he doesn't have to start with Hood and Green in there right now.

I love the Campbell pick in the second. Great value there.

These are both insurance picks for next year incase we lose Green and/or A Smith.

Im betting he starts and pushes Green to the nickle back.

You know, I read a lot about criticism for guys that rise late, and I usually second that sentiment. With DRC, though, you get a different set of circumstances. I had heard his name and while he wasn't nearly as well-regarded as he turned out to be after the season, it was mainly because he was a small school star. The experts granted that he tore it up, but it was against inferior talent. I therefore do not share in the 'expert' opinions saying his rise after a strong Senior Bowl week makes him a shaky player, one of the draft risers, a workout warrior. I don't subscribe, because he DID produce in college. People just didn't believe in him; he then proved himself further in the Senior Bowl. I'm glad we have him.

I didn't love the DRC pick but there were worse options out there. If you are ok with him being our nickle back this year while he develops I don't believe that you will be disappointed. He can be a difference maker but does need time to develop better technique. He has the tools to be the best corner in this draft but he has to work on his game to do so.

Very, very happy with this first day.

The anti-DRC people can get bent. He's the CB of the future here. Hood goes to Nickel where he excels, and Rolle gets to roam at FS.

Our secondary is going to be siiiick.

I agree. DCR didn't rise because he suddenly ran a 4.30 40.

Until you're prerpared to claim that JJ is a total failure, your input is worthless!

:p

And for the record, I like the DRC pick... one kidney and all...

JJ is still the man on the screen pass, so eat it!

:D

LMAO!!

Well, if he is indeed Mr Screen Pass, I'm sure he's hoping like the rest of us that the Cards one day soon discover the play and put it to use!! My lord, I think I can count on one hand the # of screen passes I've seen this team use over the last 3 years...
