Then off to SF for 3 before the ALL STAR break.
Hopefully we can go into the All Star break with a winning streak!
Steve and BB were talking about what to do with Peralta when Trumbo comes back, as he is close to doing.Anderson looking very sharp - has struck out Stanton 3 times already!
Goldy and Peralta continue to rake!! Even Prado hit one out tonight... Go figure...

The question should be what to do with Trumbo when he comes back.
Peralta is our second best hitter. I suggest that when Trumbo plays LF, Peralta moves to RF and Parra to CF. It would diminish our fielding, but you can't have everything.
Personally, as much as I love Parra's arm, his speed has slowed down and his hitting sucks. Peralta makes him expendable in RF.
Especially when Pollock is ready to take back CF, joining Peralta, Parra and Trumbo as starting outfielders.
In the outfield, Peralta is now #1.
I don't get it! They let Cody Ross hit against the righty, with us leading by only a run, knowing that Peralta will immediately replace him in LF for defensive purposes.
Can anyone think of a reason why Kirk Gibson didn't pinch hit one of our two best hitters -- Peralta -- for Ross against the righty pitcher? And he didn't even do a double-switch to get Peralta up before the pitcher in the 8th.
BTW, Ross' only skill is doing OK vs. lefty pitchers. Or maybe not. He went 0-4 with a lefty starter tonight.
There is something strange going on inside Gibson's head.
