I've been wondering when Chip would try . . .

. . . moving Inciarte back to leadoff

. . . moving Pollock to third in the order

. . . moving Goldy to cleanup.

If Hill could use his experience to play the role of a #2 hitter successfully, that's a pretty classic 1-through-heart of the order.

Inciarte
Hill
Pollock
Goldy
Beef Wellington

I tend to agree with this. Good post.

Gotta love Goldy... he's been crap the 2nd half of the season... hitting just .240 since August 1st.
However, when he enters San Francisco and L.A., he just rakes! :D

For you oldtimers, similar to that the Brooklyn Dodgers used to do with Duke Snider. Bat him third, but drop him to seventh with a lefty starting. Just as Peralta moving from cleanup to seventh.

Did I hear right that the Dodgers are starting four lefties in this series?

Similar to when the Miracle Mets of '69 faced lefties in four of the five Series games and beat the Orioles in Games 2-3-4-5, after the ace, Tom Terrific, lost Game 1.

'Interesting to see what we can do with our first two batters hitting .225 and .238. Perhaps the D-backs have a miracle in them.

Final: 8-0 Dbacks. Drury from Grants Pass OR, with his first HR, a 3 run shot.

Yup, the Miracle D-backs. :)

And a pretty good 3-4 combination in the batting order. I hope it lasts for years to come.

Chase has retired 13 in a row with 10 K's through 6and 1 hit. 1-1. Need some DBack runs.

I feel like David Hernandez gives up a run every time he's out there.

Greinke is a righty and starting tomorrow
It might as well have been Greinke. One run (the Goldy HR) against their starter Frias who went four innings and shut down by the Dodger bullpen for the final five.

This team is never on the same wave length. Anderson has a great start but offense can only muster 1 run and the bullpen blows another game. If only Anderson could be more consistent I could seem him in the rotation next year but you never know what kind of outing your going to get from him. Our bullpen other than Ziegler is a crap shoot to where as a fan you feel no lead is safe, especially a 1 or 2 run lead. TLR & DS have some major work to do this offseason.

Corbin really came apart after the ump blocked Hill's view at 2B and he booted the grounder. You can't let a runner on 1B ruin your pitching approach. Next thing you know, some walks, runs scored, then the bases loaded to set up the grand slam.
