Dbacks fire Hinch, Byrnes!

The Diamondbacks fired general manager Josh Byrnes and manager A.J. Hinch, according to a front-office executive and two Diamondbacks players close to general manager Josh Byrnes, USA Today is reporting.

The report, based on sources who requested anonymitiy, said the D-Backs are expected to make an official announcement Friday.

Who do you think is responsible for this bullpen? Last I heard Byrnes had pretty much total control.

I have never been a Byrnes fan and wanted him out two years ago but there were many on this board and the other one who thought Josh was a great GM. I am very happy now and hopefully this team will be going in the right direction. Gibson will have the respect of all the players, something Hinch did not. It will be interesting to see how much different they will play now. I think we will see a more aggressive team on the base path.
