I don't know, bottom of the ninth, bases loaded,Rivera pitching and your best bunter is at bat. Wouldn't you think out of the box and try a squeeze play. NO we're going for the long ball and wind up with 0 runs and lose the game.

This manager just doesn't have the thinking to try something different. Do you think he even knows what the squeeze play is??
And the first two guys popped up. All we needed was a two-run single to win the game. Or, at the least, a one-run single to tie at home. Basic baseball.

This very well maybe so, but you chose to highlight an example where looking for the home run was justifiable. Like I said, doesn't speak well of your knowledge IMO.

The sad thing is I live in AR and still probably still know more about what's going on in the DBacks FO than you do. The assumptions and statements you make are rather laughable.

You do get personal, don't you? Why, because my opinion is different than yours?

That's why I left the Eastern mentality thirty-two years ago. Attack problems, not people.

And the problem is our neophyte Manager whose only plan is to hit the ball in the air. That's the problem!

Lets not forget, he pulled Demel when Demel did NOT need to be pulled. He cycled through our 3 reliable relievers and was left with ROSA who has given up runs like candy. Hinch is a MORON.

Yes, all opinions are valid, even the wrong and uninformed ones. :bang:

Saying your opinion is uninformed and wrong isn't getting personal, if you choose to express it you have to expect a level of disagreement when you make such bold statements as you often do. The DBacks might have situational hitting issues, but that particular situation wasn't an example of them. Secondly, that has more to do with roster construction than management style.

The team is 4th in the NL for Runs in June and 3rd in the NL for runs in the season so far. Your criticism of the offensive philosophy of this team represents more your ideological perspective of how a team should be run than the actual results of the season regarding the offense. You've been preaching it for years BC.

Our SP give us only 2.1 IP and we end up losing by 1 run in the 10th inning and you're complaining about reliever usage?!?

At that point we were still in the game, so it is only somewhat relevant. With the way Demel was throwing, he should have been left in. Hinch needs to take some chances, because the bullpen cannot be trusted, and Demel was showing some great stuff. Whats the point in pulling him? Is he worried about the "big picture" or something?

My guess is that you're talking about pushing a 24 yr old reliever just called up from AAA who'd thrown 30 pitches in 2 days at that point. So yeah, I think "big picture" had some effect on the decision.
