I went to Thursdays game against the Mets. I thought I was going to see a no hitter pitched by Pedro, but it was later broken up.

So after that I was just disgusted. I had nothing intrested going on.

Until, Rally Sally came on in the 8th inning. Good god. Has anyone seen this lady? She's older but waves flags like all game.

GO SALLY!

Also, they we're playing techno music while they showed her on the big screen so I just had to laugh. :biglaugh:

WHO NEEDS THE RALLY MONKEY! NOT US. WE GOT RALLY SALLY!

This your first game? Let's just say the regulars in her vicinity would willingly pay to have her get laryngitis for a few weeks. (A friend who worked in the VA said it reminds her a lot of the high warbling shriek women in rural Middle East do a lot, and said she wondered if it could give Iraqi war vets flashbacks.)

She's been doing that at an escalating pace since early last season, although actually started smaller a year prior - not like she brings any kind of good luck, given the record, and I have not yet seen her spark any rallies. My season seats are a couple sections over, and it is not at all enjoyable to hear her banshee screams all game long. She used to confine it to around the 7th inning but starts right out early most of the games now.

I was so bummed when she showed up at AZ Fall League games last year - she was screaming and waving on one side of the field and there was often a big autistic kid screaming and rocking back and forth on the other end of the field - truly bizarre, and very loud.

I have seen Rally Sally and I believe she has lost some brain cells in her life. :biglaugh: She is a very odd lady.

Yeah, she is a pretty bizzare mascot, way too weird for my tastes.

Yeah. Ticket prices are just too high and I'm just too busy to go to games. But we got free tickets in a suite and boy all game long that lady would wave flags. I was across the ballpark so I coukdn't hear her screams.

But he'll I thought she was the funniest thing since the Rally Monkey

Wait - she screams too? I thought it was tiring just seeing her little act on the jumbotron every single game. I didnt know she's screaming as well. Luckily I am usually several sections over, far enough not to hear her. I feel bad for those sitting around her.

Oy!

Surprised to hear that she made an appearance at the AzFall league since it seemed that she was primarily spurred on by the recognition she gets when it's her Jumbo-tron time. "Relatively" subdued during most of the game, she switches into high gear when she becomes the Jumbo-tron "star"

Hey - I was at my second or third Suns game last season and happened to glance up and past my friends - who said my face went white as a sheet and I looked absolutely paralyzed for a few seconds - because there she was, a couple sections over and in the next to the last row, flags waving, etc. She did NOT shriek there - or maybe because Suns games tend to be really loud all the time, it was drowned out. I went to another 3-4 games, and she was at a couple of them.
