Ouch

Newman though is misleading since he mainly played when others were injured.
We also get Drey back. It'll be interesting to see where he lands on the team. I still think he could be a future closer, so maybe a chance at being the setup man.

SP - Burnes, Gallen, Henry, Kelly, Montgomery, Nelson, Pfaadt, Rodriguez
RP - Ginkel, Jameson, Mantiply, Martinez, Puk, Thompson
C - Moreno, Del Castillo, Herrera
IF - Alexander, Lawlar, Lawa, Marte, Naylor, Perdomo, Suarez
OF - Carroll, Gurriel, McCarthy, Pache, Smith, Thomas

You have to figure Montgomery will be traded and Pfaadt and Henry could be headed for the bullpen. Herrera, Lawa and Pache look like organizational depth.

DH and closer are the team's big questions right now.

So we now have options to trade from starting pitching depth and outfield. We need bullpen and some bats.

What is available out there trade wise?

There is zero chance Pfaadt is moved to the bullpen. He is the future nearly threw 200 innings and nearly had 200 Ks. Nelson also threw a ton of innings and both had much better seconds halves.

My guess for starting 5

Gallen
Burnes
Rodriguez
Pfaadt
Nelson

Henry is optioned
Montgomery moved and pay 60% salary with little in return.
Kelly is moved with a young arm like Diaz for a hitter.

Puk closes and Jameson is set up.

Torey must have really disliked Josh Bell. Signs to be Washington's DH for just 6 million
