I just want two things..

1. a bullpen that's not AA quality, and

2. a manager who doesn't have his head up his arse. As much as I supported canning BoMel, they screwed the pooch by hiring this AJ guy (who?) . Your average Little League coach would make better decisions than this clown.

Or perhaps management has just written off the season and is screwing around with some minor leaguers "just to check them out." Makes me want to run right to the ballpark.....

Just out of curiosity, what moves did Hinch make tonight that you disagreed with?

I'm in San Diego and was listening to the Padres broadcast. They said Dbacks have the best road era in the NL. 14th out of 16 team in fielding percentage. Scherzers era is much better at home than on the road.

I think stuff wise Schlereth is ready, but he simply doesn't seem ready mentally to pitch in big situations. I know the reports on him say that he is a bulldog on the mound and not easily intimidated, but so far that hasn't seemed to hold true.

On the other hand, he has looked nasty in low pressure situations and in the times where he was given the ball at the start of the inning. He looked incredible the first game of the series when he struck out the side with ease.

He just has shown he isn't ready to take the ball in high pressure situations yet.

I like what Hinch is doing.

I actually do too. The team has seemed to take some steps in the right direction. You can't fault Hinch for the bullpens problems, its not that Hinch in pressing the wrong buttons, its that the buttons he is pressing are failing him. IMO.
