Remember when Lamb was being considered for an All-Star birth? He has really fallen off the face of the Earth. Oh and fire Chip Hale and Butcher, DFA Corbin.

I don't want to be a naysayer, but it looks like Mitch Haniger is going to be another Nick Ahmed -- good field, no hit, despite Ahmed having a few good games in spring training or at the start of the season. Haniger stands so far back in the batter's box, it didn't take the Padres long to have him lunging for strikes on the outside corner. The fans see it. Steve and BB see it. Why don't our Hitting Coaches Dave Magidan and Mark Grace see it? All it takes is a half a step forward in the batter's box.

Oh well, it doesn't matter. This season is shot. And next season, Haniger is not about to beat out Tomás, Pollock or Peralta for a starting job. Or even Bourn or Owings for backup in the outfield.
