Seeking a trade now when Miller is in a huge slump seems irresponsible. He's a pink sheet stock that was bought for $10 and will be sold in the sub-penny range.

Incredible... How the hell can professional talent evaluators miss this much on a guy? And why are they willing to dump him now?? Wonder if there is something wrong (mentally or physically) with Miller?? I don't get why the team wouldn't want to continue to find a way to fix him, given all that we gave up to get him??

Makes little sense to give him away at the point in time. They should try to fix whatever has gone wrong with him and see if he can make the starting staff next spring.

He literally has no trade value, and the D-Backs haven't gotten equal or greater value on a trade in a very long time. What's the point?

Maybe they feel if he's gone people will forget about us trading the #1 overall pick and top pitching prospect for him or maybe there is something going on with him that they can't fix. I'm just trying to figure out management's logic for this but there is no logic.

I honestly hope not. At this point you aren't going to get squat for him. Just try and hope that he fixes whatever the hell went wrong this season, next season.

What would be even WORSE is trading him for scraps, only to see him revert back to form. Miller has been one of the better pitchers in baseball for most of his career. And even then you probably overpaid. The worst thing you can do now is trade him for garbage.
