I wonder if they’d consider signing CarGo as a 4th OF. Should come cheap and put up decent numbers last year in a reserve role. Souza concerns me, yes he leads the D-Backs in HRs but with 2 and it’s not like he’s raking this spring.

I personally would give Cargo a chance but I believe the team feels that the outfield is set with Peralta, Souza, Jones, Dyson (when healthy) and Marte

And Dyson IIRC is pretty much just a pinch-running specialist and perhaps defensive replacement. But still, good to have as a #5 outfielder. And Marte as #4 is a good hitting version of Owings -- OF and IF. So, we're set in the OF.

And infield. And, although it is not ideal, at Catcher (probably just two). The only question remains at 1B. where the best I can hope for is Lamb vs. righties and Walker vs. lefties and as PH. But I don't expect that to happen and Walker will be gone. I would like to see him make it here but, if not, somewhere else.

If the NL had DH, we'd even have a place for Tomas. Doesn't any AL team want him, outrageous salary and all? I'm hoping his good hitting this Spring will catch someone's eye in the AL. where he could be a regular (DH), but that is wishful thinking.

I like it, almost no risk, if he plays well and we're as sub par as we should be anyway, we should be able to flip him for some decent prospects.
