Tomorrow we have a great chance to start off 2-0 on this road trip! (and a series sweep) Really between this and the Phillies only 1 loss should be acceptable. 4-1, heading into the Rockies series I think is a reasonable expectation considering the rest we are getting, and the teams we are playing. A lot would have to go right tomorrow but we will have a chance to take the division lead if Colorado can continue losing, and Cleveland upsets LA!

I can't believe the one CO error almost lost the game for them. Then Herman hits into a double play. I told my kids I would have rather seen him strike out then hit like that.

If we can get Zimmerman's pitch count up early tomorrow I think we will have a pretty good chance of success against the bullpen. Their Ace BP player Bell threw 57 pitches yesterday which means he will not be pitching. He has a 1.98 ERA this year and we get to avoid that due to the great work the team did today. Their closer Wilson also threw 27 pitches, with a 2.77 ERA, as well as the other Wilson at 27 pitches. It's unlikely they would use either unless forced to and again, they worked hard in todays game. In saying that I expect Shane Green to likely be the first out of the BP tomorrow, and he's been excellent for Detroit this year. After that things will likely get shaky with the other pitchers they have as they have been very poor performers.

On the other hand, we had an off day before todays game, and will have one after tomorrows.
Bradley threw 17 pitches which is low enough to be used again especially with an off day after. Rodney threw 16, Bracho 2, Hoover 12, Chafin 7. We for the most part have a lot more Bullpen availability as compared to Detroit tomorrow. Ours threw 54 pitches, to Detroits 118 pitches.

So lets get that pitch count up tomorrow and we will have a good chance to see what a pretty bad bullpen looks like with who they have available.

Peralta had two yesterday. One lost in the lights and one were it popped out of his glove.

He also has continued to throw bullpen sessions and pitched in a simulated game during his stint on the DL. … Zimmermann has thrown well in his past two outings, going six innings in each and allowing a total of three earned runs. … Opponents have hit him hard this year, putting together a .305/.361/.548 line against him this season.
