Dude was about to be DFA by OAK. On a side note, ARZ has signed one time D'Back Emilio Bonafacio to a minor league deal. I thought Bonafacio was ancient but he's only 32. He could be more useful than Rosales.

Diamondbacks acquire Adam Rosales in trade with Athletics; bolster infield depth

The Diamondbacks added some suddenly much-needed infield depth to their roster on Monday by acquiring infielder Adam Rosales from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for a low-level pitching prospect.

Rosales, 34, has played parts of 10 seasons in the majors. He was hitting.234/.273.346 in 205 at-bats for the A’s this season.

With Nick Ahmed out with a broken hand, Chris Owings suffering a fractured finger on Sunday and Ketel Marte returning to the Dominican Republic on Monday following the death of his mother, the Diamondbacks were in sudden need of help at shortstop.
