Man o man... McCarthy has to be one of the most unlucky pitchers in the game.
He gets just over 2 runs per outing of support from his team. He has a k per 9 inning ratio of just over 8... And tonight he pitched well enough, again, for a W... And Harris comes in and craps the bed in a huge way.... What a bummer...

That thing with Harris is EXACTLY why I can't stand Gibby's managing of pitchers. Harris wasn't even close to the strike zone. After the first 2 batters, pull him. Get him out of there. It is a tie game in the top of the 8th. Manage the game to WIN the game. What happened? Gibby leaves him in and he gives up 3. Probably would have been more if Montero hadn't thrown the guy out stealing second. Harris came in only having to get one lousy out with the bases empty and he never got it.

Runner should've been called out on review. His foot clearly left the bag while Prado applied the tag.

Yea.. But unless the runner slides all the way past the bag, you're never gonna get that call. Stupid call for Gibby to argue...

With replay, that should've been obvious. I don't blame Gibby for being pissed.

Meh... That almost like trying to argue the phantom tag at 2nd base in a double play.... Bottom line is the runner beat the throw and Prado was not on the bag like he's supposed to be.... Gibby knows better... I think he was just trying anything he could to break up the on-slaught...

Yeah, but at least Gibby had Harris plunk Braun with two men on, ahead of Lucroy. That is what was important....

It was Marshall who plunked Lyin Braun... Needed to happen. Gals it did. We were gonna intentionally walk Braun anyway to load the bases with 1 out in hopes of getting Lucroy to hit into a DP... Oh well...

Why, oh why, is Miley content being a failure-trying-to-be-a-strikeout-pitcher (2nd most HR's given up, hasn't had a win in ages) instead of what he was--a good ground ball pitcher? So far, a 3-6 record in 15 starts. He has won 3 of his 15 starts. And already gave up a 3-run homer tonight.

It looks like he is more concerned with his strikeout stats than helping the team. Booooo!
