Baseball season is still going on? I though it ended about 2 weeks ago. :(

I do not get, why Melvin insists on having Drew hit either 7th or 8th when he starts...

Because he's Bob "Butthead" Melvin.

Have you ever seen Melvin and Butthead together, huh? :):

Hernandez is finally having a decent outing tonight, one run off of one hit in six innings so far.

Where has this offense been? Nice showing by the rooks and Tracy.
The Az. Republic speculated that the offense might be realizing that they should wake up and consider where they'll be next season.

Gonzo is now tied with Tony Gwynn for 21st on the all-time career doubles list, and has set a new Dbacks record for doubles in a season.

Webb (14-6, 3.14 ERA) Vs Jason Marquis (14-13, 5.73 ERA)

Player to watch
Of everyone on the Cardinals roster, Ronnie Belliard has the highest batting average (.385) and OPS (.813) against Webb in his career, going 5-for-13 with a walk.

We need to win this game in order to keep Webb in the running for the Cy Young award. It really is depressing that Marquis has as many wins as Webb does. Also something to note, Steve Trachsel is 14-6 on the year but has an ERA about 2 runs higher than that of Webb.

What a weird game. Can't we ever hold a close lead? Two on, none out, up by two, here come Pujols and Rollins...

Not exactly the way you want to close out a game, but all's well that ends well I suppose. Nice to pick up a series win.
