Offense lukewarm second game in a row - together with suspect defense. It was too early to celebrate the wins; it's too early to condemn the losses. Let's get em tomorrow. It's technically not over - but I don't trust Byrnes to do anything...

Bad loss. Give up zero earned runs to the Giants and lose.

byrnes looked like an idiot with his little stutter back steps and dramatic swings. just make contact and dont pop up in front of the mound. whatever. who pitches tomorrow?

5 Freaking un-earned runs!

Randy should be ahead 4-0...

Exactly! They beat our 4 runs with exactly 0, that's right, zero earned runs. Thank you so much, Reynolds and Drew.

I know we're going to lose a few, but I hate it when we don't lose a game, but "gift it."

Yikes I didn't see the game, but from the sound of it, Randy is going to choke Mark Reynolds out. How many more runs (just in his Diamondbacks career) would RJ already have with decent run support? He seems like he's always struggled to get run support in AZ.

Well, the good news is that tonight is more of a fluke than anything else. This defense isn't going to give up anywhere near five unearned runs very often.

I have supported Mark Reynolds since the beginning and through the slumps.

But his fielding lapses, as well as bad throws, are not acceptable.

Ideally he should be a LF or DH. But that's not do-able with the D'backs.

Especially with CoJack making bonehead plays at 1B.

I foresee alot of shuffling Reynolds, Jackson and Tracy in and out when Chad returns.

Granted I did not see yesterday's game, but I haven't seen any bonehead plays from CoJack this season. Have you?

Is Reynolds hurt or are they just giving him the day off? I'm at work so I can't watch it. Nice to see CoJack hitting for some power.

I was referring to yesterday's game when he threw to 2B to try for a double-play with the bases loaded, when the correct play (as echoed by the announcers) would have been to throw home for the forceout.

As a fan, I wanted to see that because it might have resulted in a win for Randy in his first game back.

Hence, my comment .

Uh-oh Barry Zito is pitching for my Giants today...it's more than likely a loss for the SF Giants.

OK. I did not see the game, so I of course did not see that play. Did they turn the double play?

Wow. If Micah continues to pitch this way we have a very scary rotation. Then when Davis comes back, we will have a Extremely solid 5 man rotation.
