Key decision of the game was Gibson lifting Snyder in favor of Montero.

Montero better be starting tomorrow at catcher or else....

Oh wow.. what a game.....

I watchedthe game on gamecast, was melvin tossed? or was that :sarcasm:

Melvin was tossed in the bottom of the 5th for arguing balls & strikes.

I still don't understand why Snyder is still on this team.

Because Snyder has uncompromising pictures of both Melvin and Mark Grace together? I honestly wish I knew.

Getting tossed is the only way Melvin knows how to 'fire up the team.' Which fits well with what we all know -- he's a drag on the team. Toss him permanently and completely, and watch the team get fired up!

Hopefully they can build off this because the bats are stale.

What did Montero do?

I still like Snyder as a back-up.

He hit a pinch-hit home run to get the Diamondbacks on the board. He was batting for Snyder, who by the way, does not belong on this team.

Hammock and Snyder are AAA players who are only major leaguers because this team is in the middle of a rebuilding period. This team is not going to win the World Series this year folks, may not even win the West. That said, I would play the future players of this team every day, Montero being the future

Peavy was 1 strikeout away by tying Tom Seaver for 10 straight strikeouts.

Livo vs Chris Young tonight on FSN Arizona.

Hasn't Snyder been on this team for like five years now or something?

So Drew hit a Trevor Hoffman changeup for the home run. I am impressed.

I doubt we will hear from the Tony haters tonight. CoJack should still be the starter but Tony needs to get more at bats.

Diamondbacks win 7-4 and take the series. Papa Grande gets the Padres out in order to earn another save.

yeah right, Tony is better than Connor. Tony could hit 30 HR again this season given the chance. I am sick of Connor Jackson thinking he has the best eye in the major. Truth is we don't get enough production offensively from our corner infielders, which should both be spots hitting at least .280 and around 30 HR, which neither will do.

Maybe this is Tony's second fluke year?

Play the man while he's hot!
