Chewing tobacco disgusts me...but that was a great game. Tomorrow's game should be a good one. We need this series.

Hudson has been hitting the ball great this year. When we traded for him I never expected him to be hitting so well to go with his gold glove-caliber defense. I'm very happy with that trade now. This team has been in too many close ones. I'm really hoping that the return of Quentin will boost the offense at least a little bit, and the return of RJ doing the same thing for the pitching. If it does happen then this team might make the playoffs, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself. 150 games to go until the postseason.

Hey I totally missed the game, but how do you think the black unis are? Now that I've seen them I like them, but I don't think they're the best, the red and road jerseys I think are better. But I do like the black hat.

I like the uni's. I hate wearing the red when they go up against teams like the Nats or Reds....they should've worn the black so you'd be able to tell who's who from a distance. I'd like to see them wear that against all red-colored teams and wear the red unis against everyone else.

I agree. I hope they wear both the red and black at home and on the road but I think they should save the black against other red colored teams and use the red against teams like the Dodgers, Mets, etc...

btw, did they shoot off fireworks for the HR last night? It sounded like they did. I wonder if they will continue to do that regularly or only when the roof is open or what.

I'll tell you what, Davis is playing himself into the bullpen. When Randy comes back instead of sending Owings or Gonzalez down shift Davis to the pen. He would give us another lefty there besides Slaton and would allow us to keep Owings in our rotation where he needs to be.

Davis is AWFUL!

He has poor control and he doesn't have an out pitch. He works so slow he puts everybody in the park to sleep.

I will never pay to see a game in which he starts, I'd rather watch paint dry.

He just wanted to get all covered in dirt. He would have been out either way.

There are plays when you should slide at first. That however was not one of them.

Until Johnson comes back.... Hell Davis can go long relief for all I care. I do not think Edgar Gonzalez has a future on this team

This team sure does draw a lot of walks... I love the patience of the batters. Drew especially, he goes 3-2 almost each at bat

I like Gonzalez. He has done a pretty good job so far, better than Nippert in previous opportunities, so I don't know why you'd want him out before Johnson is here.

Nice lead so far, could be bigger though. It just doesn't feel safe against the Rockies. Good to see Tony Clark back in 2005 form as one of the best pinch hitters in the league.

Davis has sucked so far, but he still might get the win. He has been very lucky so far with his stats.
