I think for cheap enough he would be nice to have back in the fold. He's a great pinch hitter and a hard worker. Plus he helps bring the hotties out to the ballpark which is always a plus. And he is a fellow Italian so i would love to see him back here for the right price.

I like Dave Dellucci but, if we get a starting RF, among Bautista, Jose, and Looch, I think he'd be the odd man out.

Baerga, Jose, and Colbrunn are closer to 'great' pinch-hitters. Dellucci never really made it to that category. And when given the chance to start, he never maintained the stats needed in RF.

He's a good guy, but it's time to move ahead and not keep someone who can contribute more off the roster.

He has already criticized Arizona for the time he was here.. He had some big hits when he was in Az.. When he was given a chance to start he was either really good or really really bad.. Most of the time bad in a inconsisten level.. I don't think we should get him again...

Despite being such a fan favorite, DD should be a very low priority for returning here. He's not going to develop into an everyday player for the D'backs, who now have two of the best pinch hitters in the game on the bench. D'backs are better off seeking a more substantial RFer and going with the farm prospects.

You know, I agree totally in terms of the skill aspect, but I still really feel badly for David. He loved it here, he was cheap, he hustled; I'd probably rather have him than Felix Jose.... But if they start thinking about adding another journeyman/veteran, rather than run some of our kids out there, Looch would be OK. Gives me another reason to hate the Yankees, at least.

If given the chance, I think Felix Jose is going to surprise you, both as pinch-hitter and backup OF.

Plus, he's a big body, and that fits the Manager's style more than a light hitting corner outfielder. Until Bob Brenly (or someone else) learns to fit his managerial approach to the skill level of his roster, that's a factor.
