would be an awesome game sunday if it were against the panthers.... win for #1..lose for #2.....................

but it will be an awesome game anyway. we need to get in seattles head if we are going to take over the division...make them jittery when they see Arizona on the schedule.......I want them to see their schedule and start to twitch a little at the thought of playing us........

Yep, I think Sunday's game is more than just this year. We need to show superior NFC West dominance going forward. It's important. It's not just about the playoffs or seeding, it's about fighting for the division, about establishing dominance. I'm glad BA elected to play everyone, we have to establish that we're the best and beat them down.

(edit: It's just as important to show Seattle and the rest of our division that we'll never lay down. Ever. Doesn't matter, we won't let up, we'll stomp some dirt on you. Going forward, that's an important message to send)

Seattle has miles to go to even begin to approach the nauseating heights Cowboy fans rose to during the 1990's.

Dallas didn't talk smack they were living breathing arrogance incarnate.

We made Emmit Smith cry that's how bad that fall was.

Nothing will ever replace that rivalry my number one hated team is the Cowboys always will be just because of the decades of dealing with them, first Landry and his hat and then it only got much worse.

Seattle would have to go to arrogance school and get a PHD in it just to begin to appreciate the artistry of arrogance that was a 90's Cowboy fan.

People hoping we get this seed or that seed so we can avoid this team or that team or whatever, that's just weak. We're going to have to beat some great teams to win the SB.

The only reason I want the #1 seed is to have home field. #2 seed is okay, but only because we get a home game. I'm not interested at all in dodging anyone.

If I had it my way, we'd have home field and play all the best teams, or at least "supposed" best teams. I'd play Seattle, crush them, and Carolina in the NFC Championship and beat their ass too. Then the SB, I hope we don't play some weak team, I don't want to see KC, it won't be legit. I want to beat a NE to win it all. I initially wanted a Pitt V Cards SB to get some revenge, but they didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

We have a great team, let's stop living in fear and looking for the easiest way to the SB.
Why won't be beating KC legit? If they're good enough to be in the Super Bowl then beating them, or anyone, is legit. Do you think Pittsburgh thinks beating us, the supposed worst playoff team in history, less than legit? Also, KC is the hottest team in the AFC right now winning 9 straight. IMO doesn't matter who you beat in the Super Bowl, it's legit.

How to tell a true "long time Seahawk fan":

. Personally I love hitting "fans" of any team up about their team's history. Even our own fans. How many know about John David Crow or Paddy Driscoll or Ernie Nevers or Charlie Johnson or Ollie Matson and the like. Hell, you probably have many Arizona Cardinal fans who know little to nothing about the St. Louis days. I love the game and the history of the game.

I picked this book up a few years back, and it is amazing. A must have for every Cardinal fan's library.

It used to be available at the Phoenix public library if you don't won't to drop $60+ to read it

I love the Cardinals and had every intention of buying that book, but $60 is a little bit pricey right now.

Maybe if I can find an electronic copy somewhere

That matchup is possible! I've been saying for the past few weeks, I would not want to face them in the playoffs.

This team is not afraid of anyone. Plus, as a fan, I have no fear facing the Seahawks in the playoffs. This Cardinal team is unlike no other team we have ever had (obviously) where we all say "I hope we can win this game!" Now its "we expect to win every game!" Bring on any team because the Cards are by far the most FEARED team in the NFL right now!

The weather didn't finally get to you did it? I've heard Seattle is a very depressing place to live.

You know how everyone always dreams of a white Christmas? I don't think anyone has every dreamed of a rainy Christmas.

This past Christmas cemented the fact that I hate rain. It rained for like 3 weeks straight. All day everyday. It was miserable.

I miss Arizona. :(

Where am I bitching? You know what I'm sick of? I'm sick of you chastising anyone who doesn't feel exactly how you want them to feel. This was supposed to be light hearted and funny. Take a freaking chill pill you hot head.

I managed to poke a little fun at Brock who is the most pompous jerk in the media and I did it without calling his state "one big trailer park" and I did it without calling all Seahawks fans "scumbags" and all the other hate he threw at us the past 3 years. I simply called out a notorious blow hard who is suddenly silent. I am a freaking Saint in terms of class compared to the Seattle media.

Some of you are funny with this superstitious nonsense. Do you really think my attitude towards Brock Hugetard is going to affect the outcome of Sunday's game or any other down the road? Jeepers! Lighten up guys. I mean if u just didn't think it was funny I can live with that but I doubt my post is going on the Seahawks bulletin board lol.

Oh the media up here is ridiculous. They drink so much Seahawks kool aid that I sometimes have to turn the radio off.

Before the Cardinals first game against Seattle, they all thought Seattle was going to beat up on the Cardinals. And then afterwards, it was a soul crushing loss for them.

I listen to 950 AM and they are the biggest douchebags (think Gambadoro with less class) in the world. They will bring on talk show hosts from other markets and ask them about their team. Once the guy is off the air, they then start to make fun of their opponent. Low class.

Hey, are you guys ok? I'm starting to get worried about you. I haven't heard from you all week, this is really not cool guys you can't just go silent on us. What happened to the phone calls to our local sports shows where you laugh about how pathetic the Cardinals are?

As you know, in the past during the week leading up to the Cardinals Vs. Seahawks games there has been constant trash talk from your end. Even when were down on our luck with injuries you guys wouldn't let up. You just laughed at us and told us to stop making excuses... Man, we couldn't get you guys off the phone when you got to talking about how pathetic all us Arizonans are.

In the same breath you would say that you couldn't care less about the Cardinals, then you would go on to insult everything about us. Even back then you were sending some mixed messages. I've had to listen to you call our fans a joke, you've insulted my state over and over making jokes about old people and tourism, the clothes we wear,,, I've listened to you disrespect the Cardinals and tell me that they are a joke too and that your team is better regardless of injuries and last year you said on the air that the Cardinals "may never beat us again."

This week? Nothing! Not a peep! I'm worried sick about you guys... I mean, the season isn't over! This week it's time for us to wrap up the season against each other and much to my surprise it's complete silence from your end. Is everything Ok? The weather didn't finally get to you did it? I've heard Seattle is a very depressing place to live.

Really, I am not writing to gloat about us winning the NFC west championship this season or the fact that we spotted you 2 touchdowns in your own stadium and you still couldn't beat us. That game really wasn't close. Remember when Andre Ellington scored that dagger TD and then like, Drew Stanton danced all crazy and it went Viral? Ahhh, memories. Man that was cool,, oh I'm sorry I'm getting off track here. I'm sure that was embarrassing, we're sorry.

To show our compassion, here is what is happening. We were thinking about hanging our new banner up on Sunday, but the way you guys are acting were considering putting it off. Mental health is not a joke and we want you guys to know that football is just a game. Well, here in Arizona it is. I mean when the Cardinals lose we are sad but we usually get cheered up by sunshine, clear skies, picturesque trails and lush golf courses. You guys don't get that opportunity and that is what has me so worried about you. We may even go one step further and play this game with the roof open so you guys can actually experience what sunlight looks like for a few hours. Call it a late Christmas gift.

I hate seeing you guys so sad and quiet. You've spent years trying to convince the world that the 12s aren't a bunch of derivative bandwagoners, so I really hope this trend of silence doesn't continue for you guys. See, how it works is, to NOT be a bandwagoner, you have to support your team all the time. You can't just run your mouth when things are going good and then disappear at the first sign of adversity.

Anyways, I hope all is well. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Please check in at some point, just so we know you guys are safe. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here. We're not that close and I may not be "entitled" to worry about you, but I do it anyways, because I care. If you need me I will be in my trailer park in Scottsdale feeling very entitled, wearing my affliction T shirt talking to old people about what my next tattoo will be all whilst practicing my golf swing.

Love,

#Birdgang

PS. Oh, just one more thing I totally forgot what I was going to say originally. You know how you get to talking and then you lose your train of thought? Man I hate when that happens, anyways the point I'm making is simply this:

SUCK IT
PAPER TIGERS.....I knew there was something you missed. Maybe something about getting a paper (tiger) cut or something like that should have been added.

Bert I live in Tucson and have had Cardinals Season tickets for 25 years. I have made almost every game and there are plenty of us. So while I get the humor do not lump me and the others in with Seahag fans. Those are fighting words to me.

LOL sorry Borderrat, you are definitely the exception. I am biased because of my thursday night football experience in Tucson a couple seasons ago.

I was down there for work and I went to Buffalo Wild wings to watch the Cardinals.Hawks game and I walked in the place and what to my wondering eyes should appear? A sports bar FULL of Seahawks fans, and 1 dude in Cards gear. 1 other guy!!! I swear, this is not an exaggeration. It seemed like everyone else was cheering for the Seahawks!!! When the Hawks scored their first TD the place went crazy!

I was like what the crap dude???? I got boo'd coming through the door with my Wilson #24 jersey on!!! Boo'd in Arifreakinzona!

I asked a few people out there what the deal was. I think my exact words were; "So you guys are big Seattle fans down here in Tucson huh?" and they all just kind of laughed it off. Cuz they knew they were bandwagoners.

Who cares what others think, I'm so sick of listening to Cards fans bitch & moan for the publicity of this team. This team gets more respect every week & every win.

I see no sense in rubbing anyone or a specific team in it!!! The Big Red hasn't won Jack yet, we've got bigger goals.

Stop acting like other teams fans. Win with class, lose with class.

I agree with you 100% here. Right now everyone is saying "we don't want to play the Cardinals!" This team fears no team

Bucky,I agree completely although I see Bert's point. I was listening to Hellestrae and the other guy(?) on 98.7 and they were talking about what Seahawks fans think about the Cards now. They were going on and on about it, and I kept saying to myself, I don't give a rat's a** what they think about us. Sure we want our team to be respected, but at the end of the day, I know that the Hags fans likely can't stand us, and to be honest the feeling's mutual. As long as we put a foot up that a**, that's all I care about. I'm not about to beg any fan base or media outlet to respect us. Winning cures all of that.
