Decent WEP cracker

I found this on a linux project page I frequent.....

I ran it and it cracked my 64 bit WEP on my home network in about 50 minutes. I'm going to switch it to 128bit and see if it can crack it. My phrase was pretty difficult and it was able to crack it.

This just goes to show how easy it is to crack a wireless network

I played with a few different programs a few years ago that worked, but unless you were sniffing a pretty active network, it took a verrryy long time to capture enough packets to crack it.

I just ran NetStumbler and I can reach 17 WiFi access points. Even this RV resort showed up

Maybe someone can answer this because I can't get enough traffic at the RV resort to get a good result. Does IMCP simulate traffic, IE, can I ping their network and fake it?

ran it, but it doesnt seem to work. maybe i am doing something wrong?
