Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to applaud Steve Kerr and the Suns organization--Shaq looks 5 years younger.

Suns are going to be really stacked in the playoffs.

(Darn!)

Have to say he brings a lot different feel to this team. I enjoy watching the game.

The jury is still out right now though. I think it has potential to be something really good but I'm not sure I can say thats going to definitively happen yet either.

Can honestly say...

I echo Tim Duncan's comments.

If the Spurs don't get a ring--I want to Phoenix Suns to get the ring. Cassy organization. Kerr. But the fantastic Steve Nash--I bet even Robert Horry would like to see Nash get a ring if we get eliminated.

I think you have to be positive about this game as a Suns fan. They lost a regular season game tonight but this move they made was meant for the playoffs. Shaq was clearly rusty but looked very fluid in the second half. The rebounding was much better and I think when this team figures out how to play together they are going to be dominant.

Amazing how new this team suddenly feels. And it's not just the Suns - all the recent changes in the league make me feel like an entirely new season has started. It's a good time for NBA fans, and I have a feeling it will be an extra special year for us, Suns fans.

kobenpau sounds like some kind of man love name or something. I thought Kobe liked women. If this is true, his rep can be cleared of all that nasty colorado stuff.

Well if it wasn't for Horry's cheap shot and the league's BS suspension of Amare they would have gotten one last year.
;)

I kid, I kid.

What does

"Mhmh...."

mean?

it's like a little under-your-breath chuckle. kobenpau is basically insulting the acquisition.

by the way gregg, great job with the pickup of kurt thomas. you guys certainly made the right move to match up with the western teams. the lakers picked up an offensive guy and, in true spurs fashion, the spurs went and got a great post DEFENDER to match up. great work by your front office.

Thanks--but I hate to see Brent leave.

The Suns have a great FO with Steve Kerr. Give him some time--the man is brilliant, has good karma, is highly respected around the league, and obviously has nerve of steel and not afraid to pull a big trigger.

BTW KobePau--why do Laker fans hate it when Shaq has success?

If I remember correctly--he was traded--and did not ask to be traded--but the Lakers decided he wasn't worth his price.

It is such sour grapes for Laker fans to continue to look like total asses because Shaq obviously led the Heat to a championship and may do so with the Suns.

The Spurs added Stoudamire and KT. That is significant.

Never underestimate the Spurs, they r reserving for playoff like always. Look at their roster, Tony Parker/Damon Stoudamire, Finley/Ginobili, Bowen/Udoka, TD/Horry, Oberto/KT. Still so formidable, especially in matter of depth. Their only weakness maybe is Finley and Horry's age, but we all know they will step up huge in playoff.

We only have 8 in rotation. Nash, Bell/Barbosa, Hill/Diaw, Amare/Skinner, Shaq. To challenge the Spurs, depth is our biggest concern. Last game against the Lakers r also a proof of that. I don't mind Kobe's 41 or Gasol's 29. But I hate to see Vujacic scored 15 on us, even Turiaf hit a few jumpers. We need another experienced and consistent player in rotation.

we have johnson now to add to that rotation. if strawberry keeps getting time, throw him in there too. even if johnson doesn't work out, we still have to add one more player so our depth won't be as bad. we will probably be 10-deep going into the playoffs, which i am comfortable with.
