I feel that today needs to be dedicated to cotton and focusing our thoughts towards him and his legacy and his family. I would appreciate if George O'Brien would quit posting every single thought he has (he seems like he is just trying to get his post count as high as possible) and give it a rest atleast for one day so that true sports fans can have a peaceful day remembering cotton and the legacy that he lived. Thank you RIP COTTON

I mainly lurk on the Suns board, but I had to comment on this.

That's cool that you want to honor Cotton, but was it really necessary to call out George? Other people have posted their thoughts, too. I dont see anything wrong with people posting on the Suns board, even in lieu of such awful news. There can be a thread dedicated to Cotton to discuss his legacy - I don't see why there needs to be a stoppage in posting. This is a messageboard after all.

And the little slam about him just trying to up his post count is pathetic. Nice first post. .

I have posted before but only on my buddies name so it was not my first post. When you look at the suns message board George is the creater of 75% of the threads and he was the last to comment on 50% of them. I'm not calling him out in any way he has been around a while and has some good insight I just wish he would not post every 20 minutes. Also if i read the other threads correctly there are many that want today to be a mourning day and not talk about anything that has to do with trades etc. so i am not alone.

And that's totally fine. I'm sure there are some people on here who would like to post instead of reflecting on such a sad day. To each his own.

If the other threads are bothering some people, then simply don't read it - it's that simple.

George can write about whatever he feels like writing about as long as he continues to write well thought out posts.

You simply do not have the right or authority to attempt to curb his posting.

Period.

I find it ironic that you attempt to be divisive in your post in one part and in another part speak of honoring Cotton's passing.

I haven't been posting here long, but I know enough to know George is a respected poster that shouldn't be called out. He makes thoughtful new posts and replies, and there's no such thing as excessive thoughtfulness.

There are three things Cotton loved more than anything else: his family, golf, and working deals for the Suns (in that order). I can't imagine anything better to honor Cotton than by discussing the Suns off-season. He lived for it -- literally. If he wasn't knocking in an ace on a par 3, he was with his family or in his office talking hoops. Sometimes I think he did all three at once.
