He's a Cardinal fan. If he thinks our secondary is the most suspect in the league why would he care who was 2nd or 3rd?

I suspect it's because he didn't suggest that we might have the most suspect secondary, he stated it outright. How do you respond when someone makes a comment such as that and you can't tell from context whether it's factual in nature or something he just pulled from a convenient orifice?

BTW, I think he's right. I believe we have the most "suspect" secondary in the league. Not necessarily the worst and perhaps even nowhere near the worst but it probably is the leading contender for the most "suspect". Really, we have no clue how this group will play come Sunday.

In otherwords: Suspect (as in "iffy") not as in "sucky."

Easy, you simply state that you think its an exaggeration and why and then either agree or disagree with his take.

I agree with you we have no clue how this group will do because neither of our starting Corners have any history for us to use to judge how they might perform. Add in the uncertainty of how Wilson's injury might affect his play and you have a real case for us having the most suspect secondary in the NFL.

Correct. You always have questions entering the season but we have more questions about our secondary than is customary. We'll start getting some of those questions answered this weekend.

I do know this for a fact. Our two starting CBs have the least amount of combined experience of any 2 starting Corners in the NFL. 2 games/no starts.

So what we have in our secondary goes beyond the normal questions you would have at the start of a season.

Baltimore with Jimmy Smith and Cary Williams, 23 games/1 start is the closest. But they also have Chris Carr last year's starter.

Sure and that's why it's suspect. Plus, you have the unknown with Horton. He's not only new to us, he's new to the position and he's trying to learn the players and install his system in an unusually short time. So yeah, this secondary is very suspect. I think it's reasonable to expect them to struggle early in the season but I also think it's reasonable to hope/expect them to become a very effective unit as the season progresses. Unfortunately, it's probably just as reasonable to expect/fear that they will be an historically inept group. Suspect.

You know what I think we are going to see. Bonehead beginner mistakes mixed in with amazing plays like PP's int against San Diego. Biggest question mark for the baby corners? How the veterans Rhodes and Wilson work with them.

Our safeties are a combined 16 years older than our CBs!
