Looked really good so far. Nice to see consistent pressure. Great job stopping 2 good, fast running backs. I can't wait to see how they do during the regular season when Clancy opens up their playbook.

Dansby is just an amazing talent. He's a ILB that can cover like a defensive back. The sky is the limit for him and he should be in a Pro Bowl soon.

Wilson is a beast. He made a great play to blow through a blocker and make a tackle for a loss. He's been blowing guys up all game long.

Laboy/Hagans. Very good offseason pickups. Both have made some plays rushing the QB. We have a lot of depth and versatility at the OLB/DE spot.

Dockett. Nonstop motor. Should earn a Pro Bowl invite without having to be an alternate.

I agree on all points.

Laboy has been fun to watch.

I love the D if they can stay fresh.

yes they need to stay healthy. and fresh......rotating guys in and out helps too. they did a fine job of holding the raiders out of the endzone.

a TEST FOR OUR DEFENSE will be next week vs. the Broncos running game, then I will be happy.

true....and not only that the broncos have a pass game now. that pass game might be as good or better than their run game this year. cutler is really coming on strong and brandon marshall is a pro bowl caliber WR. I don't know if they'll play next week....usually teams don't like to play their starters that much. but it should be a challenge if they do. if the broncos Defense plays well.. I think they can make the playoffs and push SD for the division.

The first two series we really didn't do much on defense, Russell went like 8 for 8 down the field. But then it was like coach said "Stop 'em now" and they did. Russell finished at about 50%. It was cool to see.

I don't know b. The 4th preseason game usually is the most meaningless/vanilla of all four.

We'll have to wait until the opener in SF to see if this D is an oasis or a desert mirage.

I'm still concerned about our secondary but boy do we look smart and athletic on that side of the ball.

We are so loaded at LB and DE.....if we can continue to stop the running game and apply pressure to the QB, this will hide our deficiencies in the secondary

The line held it's gaps and people were in position to make plays. Was it just me or did they seem to be hitting much harder tonight?

Shanahan has a history of not even dressing most of his key starters for the final preseason game

It will be a glorified scrimmage

Exactly.

For example Cards 4th string QB, Lang Campbell, was 6/17 in last year's 4th preseason game. Denver started Darrell Hackney at QB.

I expect to see a whole lot of Anthony Morelli and an encore presentation by Mr. Hackney.

I think this is the most talented we've been on D since... umm... '48?

Seriously, plug Warner in and let's get a wildcard birth at least.
