Sanders leaving CBS' ``NFL Today''

May 13, 2004

NEW YORK (AP) -- Deion Sanders is leaving CBS' ``NFL Today'' after two seasons with the pregame show. The outspoken Sanders, a seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback during a 12-year NFL career, joined the program as a contributor during the 2001 season. For the past two seasons he has been a studio analyst, along with Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason and Jim Nantz. The only person to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl, Sanders played in the NFL with Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas and Washington. He played baseball with the New York Yankees, Atlanta, Cincinnati and San Francisco.

He was on NFL today? News to me.

I watch Fox pregame - I don't think I've watched CBS pregame in years.

Deon was horrible in the CBS pre-game. Eric Dickerson and Deon are both awful when it came to broadcasting.

I'm going to risk some serious ridicule here, and disagree with you azdad.

Sanders actually has a decent tv personality, and I've seen less entertaining guys than him on camera. When he gets all cranked up though, he loses it.

Dieon on 7, cool. Dieon on 10, not good. Kind of like vikesfan. :D

Eric Dickerson was better then his replacements.

And Deion was by far the most entertaining person on that panel, the other guys are clones of each other SNORINGLY BORING Deion was fun.

This should lower ratings even more. Smart move NOT!

Neither Deon or Dickerson is half as bad as Michael Irvin, if Deon got his walkin papers, lets only HOPE Irvin is next. If not, I sure hope Jaws pumps the iron and kicks his ass during Monday Night Countdown this year! :p

Someone let Irvin know, you don't have to wave your damn arms all over the screen when talking. WE CAN ALREADY SEE YOU, YOU ARE ON TV, *******!

Now that "Prime Time" is out, feel free to listen to The Arizona Cardinals Pre Game Huddle on the Cardinals Radio Network. The show features Craig Fouhy, Eric Hill, Doug plank, Bill Lewis, and Mike Jurecki. The Huddle starts two hours prior to each game.

I know...cheap plug!

Radio pimping at its best!

I actually do listen though because it's so much better than anything Sanders had to say.

I can't stand Craig Fouhy. I do like everyone else though.

I heard on the radio that even though Shannon Sharpe said he'd play one more year, CBS is courting him as Deion's replacement. It may not be a coincidence that the Broncos signed Byron Chamberlain yesterday, too.
