If you have a problem with this statement, you haven't been watching. Tell me what was positive in this game against SF, win or loss. How did Denny Prove he deserves to be in any position on a professional team? You can blame the players, injuries, other coaches, but it all funnels to this fool. He should be ashamed for wasting our time and money. He should step down and be a man. I am so tired of being the laughing stock of the NFL, and Denny is just perpetuating this. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I'm not saying it will happen, but what will you say if the Cards started out
next season 5-0 and finished divsion champs? Has Denny made some bad
decisions, yes. Players performance and lots of injuries have had a BIG factor
in our record so far. I personally don't think we are that far off. Add a big
run stuffer in the middle of the D, and add 1 or 2 more olineman and maybe
we can sneak in next year! You guys kill me how you wanted a coach who
would make changes and send players on their way unlike (Mac), now
criticize them for trying to change the attitude by weeding out the old regime.

What does Green have to do with the Cardinals weak performances? They look exactly the same as they did playing for Stallings, Bugel, Tobin, and McGinnis.

Just be glad we are not the Lions fans. They look like they are headed to the bottom of the NFL for awhile. At least we have the hope that the third year is the charm.

Let me get this straight.

We won the game. I saw only one questionable coaching call (the punt from SF territory).

We'll probably finish 6-10 or 5-11. Not great, but considering our injuries, not unexpected.

No Bugle/McGinnis/Ryan-coached team ever put forth this amount of effort, especially on defense, this late into a losing season.

Green has made some questionable calls in his tenure. At least he mans up and admits when it's his fault, more than the other coaches I mentioned would ever do.

The team played very hard today. Clearly, neither they, or Green, have packed it in. They overcame many bad penalties and turnovers and won their second game on the road in a row. Let the team build some positive momentum going into the offseason. I'd rather build from that point rather than have yet another blow up of the roster.

The only thing I am faulting Green for is the lack of discipline that this team has. Players need to be held accountable for the constant mental mistakes and repeated stupid penalties. This is something that can be fixed and it should be already.

I say give him one more season--either he gets the team in the playoffs next year or he gets canned.

Not that I blame Green for this game being close but he also threw the ball right before the 2 minute warning giving SF essentially 30 free seconds and 2 free plays when they had no timeouts.

And if SF had managed to score, burning our last TO on what appeared to be pretty obviously a good spot, would have looked bad.

This wasn't Green's worst coaching game by far, but he still makes mistakes you don't expect given his experience.

I'm wondering how the 'baseline' for keeping a coach is getting to the playoffs. This team has been to the playoffs once in like 50 years. Can't we have a winning season for a change. I don't like everything DG does either, but at least to me, the team is headed in the right direction especially personnel wise.

I blame him for keeping Everett Lyndsay thats about it. How much worse can our oline be coached.

I agree. I think we overvalued our talent and got hit with injuriees. Denny gets another year from me before I throw in the towel for me.

That's what I'm thinking, but if there's a chance to get a guy like Kubiak, I'm not above throwing Green under the bus a year early.

Positives:

1) We won.
2) We won our 2nd straight road game.
3) We stuffed the run AGAIN.
4) Fitz now has 1,128 recieving yds.
5) Q needs 8 yds to have another 1,000 yd season.
6) 3 picks.
7) 3 sacks.
8) Played hard and overcame bad calls and penalties to win on the road.
9) Swept the Niners for the year.
10) Won in SF for the first time since Joe Montana was at Notre Dame (Thanks Cardinal law).

Given the fact that we all had high hopes for this season... where are the results? What positive factors, other than the obvious WR's, JJ and Warner, can we take into next year? Obviously, we have defiencies in more positions than we have proficiencies. We should have run away with this game, even with our second string teams, yet we stumbled. There is no excuse for the O-line. Green had the chance and didn't pull the trigger. Ross was, IMO a negative addition rather than positive. This was a win, and I am ever thankful for it, but we learn less from our wins than we do from our losses. This team needs a boot up its ass and D Green isnt the mas to give it.

You do realize that SF plays tough at home, right? Look at their games vs Dallas, St Louis and Seattle for example. All close. We won on the road, in a place we haven't won in for almost 20 years.

His biggest mistake was not dealing with the offensive line before the year started. I have been on him for not taking Leftwich over Fitz but I think I am ready to eat crow on this one. Leftwich is very good but Fitz is one of the best in the league right now. Along with Boldin and Johnson and we have the best three receivers on one team in the NFL. If we had an offensive line and any semblance of a running game we would would be headed to the playoffs. Warner is what he once was. Third game in a row over 300 yds and is using this team just like he did in St Louis. Need to resign him now before any of a number of teams will want him after seeing what he can do. Those who thought he would be dead after a couple of games after a few sacks need to rethink their position. He can still eat you alive with those short passes and with his quick release negate the blitz.

And, they were a two-point conversion away from forcing Seattle into OT. So, this clearly means we are now better than the Seahawks.

A lot of these offensive penalities are a result of the line constantly changing and not playing together. Way to many and they nearly cost us the game.

Look, he's (Green) only had two drafts in Arizona. I think he's drafted exceptionally well. The team has played decently the last three games; and, with a lot of injuries. He needs at least one more draft and free agency, to get it together. The mental mistakes are what's killing us it this point - i.e., to many penalties (I do not recall Big's number being call today - which, if true, is a good sign).
Maybe some of the rest of you want more, but I've enjoyed the last three games, given the situation.
But, also it's fairly easy to see which of the players who will probably not make the team next year. With the return of the quality injured, another draft, and addressing the O-line and a big DT in free agency, I see a big turn around.

I did not think much of burning the last timeout by throwing the red flag at the 2 minute mark. We might have needed that. Could have come from someone in the booth up top and most likely did as they are the ones that have the view. Perhaps they need to read the rules. The runner has to be touched before he is down even if is on the ground.
