The Denver Broncos officially announced their four outside free agent signings on Thursday and all four players have picked their jersey numbers.

Perhaps the most notable development is new tight end Evan Engram choosing No. 1. Engram previously wore No. 17 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that number is currently held by Broncos wide receiver Devaughn Vele. Engram started his career wearing No. 88 with the New York Giants, but Denver unofficially retired that number in honor of late receiver Demaryius Thomas.

So it's No. 1 for Engram. That number was previously worn by cornerback Tremon Smith, who left the team during free agency this week.

Elsewhere on offense, new receiver Trent Sherfield picked No. 5 after previously wearing Nos. 16, 81, 14, 16 and 11 earlier in his career. Baron Browning previously wore No. 5 before being traded last season.

On defense, safety Talanoa Hufanga picked No. 9 and linebacker Dre Greenlaw picked No. 57, the same number he wore with the San Francisco 49ers. Hufanga wore No. 29 in San Francisco, but that number is currently held by Broncos cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian.

Looking good in orange & blue.
